Audience Engagement & CRM Marketing Manager — Music & Entertainment

Working within the fast-paced music and entertainment space, you’ll help shape how artists connect with their audiences across digital channels, using personalized messaging and lifecycle strategies to elevate engagement and loyalty.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $20–$22/hour
Role Overview
As part of a digital marketing and audience development function, you will lead the execution of targeted CRM campaigns across email and SMS channels. This role combines strategy and execution—owning campaign planning, audience segmentation, and performance optimization.
You’ll collaborate across creative, analytics, eCommerce, and product teams to deliver cohesive, data-informed campaigns that resonate with music fans and support broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Marketing Strategy
Design and implement end-to-end customer engagement strategies across email and SMS, optimizing for retention, repeat engagement, and long-term audience value.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Own the campaign calendar, ensuring timely delivery of marketing initiatives aligned with key releases, promotions, and fan engagement moments.
Audience Segmentation & Personalization
Leverage data to create targeted audience segments and deliver personalized messaging that enhances the fan experience.
Performance Optimization
Continuously analyze campaign performance, conduct A/B testing, and refine strategies to improve open rates, conversions, and overall engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams across marketing, creative, analytics, and product to ensure campaigns are aligned, consistent, and impactful.
Reporting & Insights
Develop and present performance reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Creative Direction Support
Contribute to messaging, copy, and visual direction, ensuring campaigns are both data-informed and creatively compelling.
Trend Monitoring & Innovation
Stay current on emerging trends in CRM marketing, audience engagement, and digital communication to continuously evolve campaign strategies.
What You Bring
CRM & Digital Marketing Experience
2–5 years of experience managing email and/or SMS marketing campaigns, ideally within entertainment, media, or consumer-focused industries.
Audience-First Mindset
Strong understanding of customer journeys, segmentation strategies, and personalization techniques that drive engagement and retention.
Analytical Strength
Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable campaign improvements.
Project Management Skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and priorities simultaneously.
Communication & Collaboration
Confident communicator with experience presenting insights and working across cross-functional teams.
Technical Proficiency
Experience with email service providers and marketing platforms; familiarity with tools such as SMS platforms is a plus. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is beneficial.
Creative & Cultural Awareness
A genuine interest in music—particularly genres like hip-hop and R&B—and an understanding of how audiences engage with artists and content.
Design Tools
Experience with creative software (e.g., Adobe tools) to support campaign execution and visual storytelling.
