One of the country’s leading Music Entertainment companies is searching for a Marketing Assistant to join their Audience Development team on a hybrid basis in Hollywood, CA. This role offers the unique opportunity to support a roster of renowned artists while driving innovative audience engagement strategies across email and SMS platforms. You’ll help connect music fans with their favorite artists by crafting customized campaigns, optimizing digital communication channels, and executing creative marketing projects that directly impact fan experience and business results. This exciting opportunity to shape audience development begins as a 5-month W2 contract offering a flexible Hybrid (T/Th onsite) schedule, competitive benefits, and the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of day-to-day email and SMS marketing campaigns supporting multiple artist rosters and online stores.
- Build engaging email communications using drag-and-drop platforms, leveraging HTML for advanced customization.
- Maintain and optimize the marketing calendar to ensure timely delivery of campaigns aligned with business goals.
- Perform hands-on editing in Photoshop to enhance marketing assets and support digital content needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, analytics, eCommerce, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign execution.
- Analyze campaign performance, conduct A/B testing, and iterate on strategies to maximize fan engagement and retention.
- Provide thorough quality control, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in all email builds and communications.
- Deliver regular performance reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership.
- Participate fully in team meetings, especially on designated onsite days, to stay aligned with label priorities and projects.
- Stay current with industry best practices in CRM, targeted marketing, and digital communication.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in email CRM marketing, ideally within the entertainment or music industry.
- Expertise with email marketing platforms such as Dotdigital; familiarity with SMS tools like Slicktext, Attentive, or Community preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop; basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a strong plus.
- Experience building customer journeys, personalizing content, and driving retention strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Proven ability to analyze data, interpret insights, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Clear, confident communication skills; comfortable collaborating with colleagues of all levels and backgrounds.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, detail-oriented approach; thrives in fast-paced and sometimes unstructured environments.
