GroupTogether Brand Ambassador
Location: Austin, TX
Type: Part-time, 1099 contractor
Commitment: Flexible, project-based work with no guaranteed hours
About GroupTogether
GroupTogether makes it easy for groups to send a card and gift online. One person creates a link, everyone adds a message and can chip in for a gift, and the finished card is sent digitally or downloaded as a printable PDF.
More than 5 million people have used GroupTogether for birthdays, farewells, celebrations, and everything in between. We started in Australia and are now growing in the US, with Austin as one of our first markets.
We’re looking for students who know what’s happening around Austin, both on campus and beyond, and want to help introduce GroupTogether to more people.
The Role
As a Campus Ambassador, you’ll help bring GroupTogether to life around Austin. That could mean creating content at a local event, helping with a campus pop-up, handing out swag, or getting GroupTogether involved in something you’re already planning with your friends or student organization.
This isn’t a traditional part-time job with a set weekly schedule. We’ll reach out when we have an event, activation, sponsorship, or content opportunity that fits. It’s ideal for someone who already has school, a job, or other commitments and wants to earn extra money while gaining hands-on marketing experience.
We’ll train you on the brand upfront, then continue working with you on future activations throughout the year.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, which means you’ll be paid for the projects or hours you work, with no guaranteed minimum hours. Taxes will not be withheld from your payments, so you’ll be responsible for reporting that income.
What You’ll Do
Help with pop-ups: Set up and run pop-ups on campus or around Austin. This could include giving out free coffee, snacks, or swag while introducing people to GroupTogether.
Create content: Film, edit, and post social content from events like ACL, tailgates, festivals, and other Austin happenings.
Get the word out: Help us come up with fun, on-brand ways to make GroupTogether more visible around town through stickers, chalk, table drops, and other creative ideas.
Bring us into your events:Planning a party, mixer, barge day, birthday, or student organization event? GroupTogether may help sponsor it. In return, you’ll create content, tag us, and share your referral code with attendees.
First Activation: ACL Festival Weekend One
Our first activation will take place just outside the ACL Festival grounds from October 2 to 4, 2026.
You must be available that weekend to apply. Please note that this activation does not include admission to the festival.
