Influencer Talent Manager — Brand Partnerships
8 MGMT at Eight Media | Austin, Texas
Independent contractor | Four days in our Austin office, one work-from-home day each week
$50,000–$60,000 annual base | $100,000+ OTE | Uncapped commission
You know how to turn a promising brand conversation into a deal and keep a creator informed while it happens. We’re looking for someone ready to own creator relationships and help build the next stage of 8 MGMT.
8 MGMT is Eight Media’s creator talent management division. We help creators build their businesses through brand partnerships, thoughtful representation, and consistent follow-through. You’ll work directly with the founders on an assigned creator roster and help shape how we pitch, manage relationships, and grow.
Across Eight Media, our work has included brand campaigns for Tinder, Uber, and Fashion Nova, plus music campaigns supporting releases by Teddy Swims, Madison Beer, and Latto. On the label side, we’ve worked with Island Records, Capitol Records, and Interscope Records.

What you’ll own
• Learn each creator’s goals, audience, content, rates, and boundaries. Keep them updated, including when a deal hasn’t moved.
• Find brands that fit, write specific pitches, and build relationships with brand and agency buyers.
• Move inbound opportunities forward. Negotiate rates, deliverables, usage rights, exclusivity, and payment terms, with founder input on important decisions.
• Run deals through approvals and delivery. Work with operations and finance to keep handoffs, invoices, and payment updates clear.
• Keep the pipeline current: each active opportunity has an owner, a next step, and a follow-up date.
• Build repeat partnerships, pitch relevant creators across the roster, and help identify creators we should represent.
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you have around two years of creator talent management or influencer marketing experience. Agency, brand-side, or PR experience can fit if you’ve worked directly on creator partnerships and can explain your role in the result.
You write clear emails, handle a negotiation thoughtfully, and follow through without someone chasing you. You understand TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube beyond follower counts. You can show us a partnership you helped move forward and how you handled a difficult client or creator conversation.
Existing brand and agency relationships are a plus. You’re eager to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and put feedback into practice to sharpen your creator management and brand partnership skills. You don’t need to bring a roster to apply.
Why join
You’ll have direct access to the founders, an existing creator business to help grow, and a visible connection between your work and your earnings. This is a hands-on role: you’ll run deals yourself, help improve the process, and have the chance to earn broader responsibility as the division grows.
Compensation
This is an independent contractor role with a $50,000–$60,000 annual base plus uncapped commission, with $100,000+ on-target earnings (OTE). We’ll walk through the written commission plan and contractor agreement with you before signing.
How to apply
Apply with your resume. Include a short “Recent partnerships” section answering these two questions:
• Which creators or talents have you personally worked with in the past 60 days? List up to three, with their name or handle, approximate dates, and what you personally handled.
• Which brands have you personally worked with on creator partnerships in the past 60 days? List up to three and explain your role in sourcing, pitching, negotiating, or delivering the partnership. Note if you worked through an agency.
Anonymized examples are welcome where names are confidential. If you have no activity in that period, share your most recent examples and dates. No long cover letter needed.
Our process is a short first conversation, a brief practical exercise, and a final conversation with the founders. We’re reviewing applications as they arrive.
Eight Media welcomes applicants of all backgrounds. We evaluate relevant experience, judgment, and ability to do the work.
