Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and optimize personal finance content for web and AI-powered search experiences.
- Ensure all content meets established editorial standards for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Translate complex financial topics into clear, consumer-friendly educational content.
- Maintain rigorous fact-checking and research practices within a highly regulated industry.
- Collaborate with content strategists, subject matter experts, quality reviewers, and freelance contributors.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while adapting to evolving business priorities.
- Apply SEO and conversion optimization best practices to improve content performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional writing and editing experience, preferably within personal finance, banking, lending, credit, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. credit scoring system, banking products, credit cards, loans, and money management concepts.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into practical, engaging content for everyday consumers.
- Excellent written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience working independently and managing competing priorities.
- Familiarity with SEO, content optimization, and digital publishing best practices.
- Experience adhering to AP Style or similar editorial standards preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
