Who We Are VCF - Vaginal Contraceptive Film - has been in the women's health space for nearly 30 years. With over 300 million products sold, we've spent decades filling a real gap in the birth control market, offering women a hormone-free contraceptive alternative and we're just getting started on telling that story publicly.
We're a small but established company, and we're now focused on building a social media presence that reflects who we are and what we stand for: fun, educational content rooted in spreading awareness on women's health and reproductive information.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, socially plugged-in freelancer to run our content day to day (@vcf.contraceptive on IG).
This isn't a corporate job with layers upon layers of approval. You'll be working directly with one or two people, giving your real creative input. If you're a freelancer looking to fill out your schedule with consistent part time work you're passionate about, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage a weekly content calendar for our Instagram account
- Create 2-3 Carousel/stills posts per week
- Produce 1–2 Reels per week
- Stay on top of women's health conversations, Instagram trends, and algorithm shifts
- Pitch weekly post ideas and execute them
- Communicate proactively with our small team and take ownership of your schedule
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in women's health, wellness, or reproductive topics
- Demonstrated experience managing an Instagram account (brand or personal)
- Strong skills in video editing and still image creation: Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, or whatever tools you actually use well
- Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate content creation
- A sharp eye for Instagram trends
- Self-directed work style; you don't need hand-holding to stay on deadline
Nice to Have, But Not Essential
- Experience with health, wellness, or femtech brands
- Background in reproductive or women's health (personal or professional)
- A portfolio showing before/after account growth or content performance
- Graphic design or any kind of design portfolio
- Don't mind filming yourself for a reel here or there.
Schedule & Structure
This is a remote, flexible role. We operate out of New York but you can be anywhere, time zones are flexible. This is 2026, where everyone is pushing more and more to have a work life that they actually have some control over, and we want to support that possibility for freelancers alike!
