Job Description
We are seeking a talented
Associate Designer with Women’s Tops experience to join a fast-paced apparel design team. This role will support the design and development process from seasonal concept through product execution, with a strong focus on CADs, technical design documentation, trend research, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing women’s tops, strong technical and creative design skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Women’s Tops across seasonal collections
- Create and update CADs, sketches, and tech packs
- Research seasonal trends, colors, fabrics, trims, and silhouettes
- Assist with seasonal concept and collection development
- Select and develop fabrics, trims, colors, and design details
- Prepare accurate design specifications and technical documentation
- Partner closely with Product Development and Production throughout the development process
- Review samples and communicate design updates and revisions
- Maintain organized design files and product information
- Manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous professional experience designing Women’s Tops
- Strong CAD, sketching, and tech pack skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, color, garment construction, and fit
- Experience with trend research and seasonal concept development
- Understanding of the apparel product development process
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Design, Product Development, and Production
- Must be comfortable working fully onsite in Orange County, CA
