We’re seeking an experienced contract Product Designer to deliver scoped improvements to our internal engineering tools. You’ll partner with technical teams to understand user needs, develop concepts, validate prototypes, and prepare designs for implementation.
You’ll also help establish greater consistency across our enterprise and internal tools, developing durable patterns that support AI-native workflows and enable other designers to build more effectively.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, product, research, and data science to refine solutions.
- Design assigned workflows for exploring system behavior and evaluating experiments.
- Turn user interviews and technical requirements into clear flows and interface designs
- for internal tools.
- Prototype solutions, gather feedback, and refine designs with cross-functional partners.
- Work with engineering to implement designs.
Qualifications
- Experience designing developer tools, analytics, observability, experimentation, or AI/ML products.
- Strong interaction design skills and comfort collaborating with engineers.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within agreed milestones.
- Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design skills.
- Ability to simplify technical workflows while preserving essential detail.
- Proficiency in Figma and interactive prototyping.
- Ability to ramp up quickly, incorporate feedback, and deliver independently within a defined engagement.
Expected Deliverables
- Workflow maps and prioritized design recommendations.
- Validated prototypes and implementation-ready designs.
- Handoff documentation, design rationale, and implementation feedback.
- Working directly with engineering to implement designs.
Compensation: $100 - $150 per hour
