We are looking for a detail-driven Production Designer to support the development and upkeep of instructional and operational documents for a contract position. This part-time opportunity centers on precise document production, with a strong emphasis on Adobe InDesign for complex layouts, updates, and standardized formatting. The ideal candidate will bring a sharp eye for consistency, accuracy, and usability while working across manuals, guides, training resources, and interactive forms.
Responsibilities:
• Refresh and restructure existing long-form materials, including manuals, guides, and workbooks, using Adobe InDesign to maintain clear and consistent presentation.
• Build, revise, and manage fillable forms and reusable templates that support ongoing business documentation needs.
• Apply consistent visual standards across all materials by maintaining alignment in branding, typography, spacing, and overall document organization.
• Implement content revisions carefully and efficiently, ensuring every update is reflected accurately in final deliverables.
• Prepare completed files for both digital use and print distribution, verifying proper formatting and production readiness.
• Track document versions and maintain organized source files to support easy retrieval, updates, and quality control.
• Coordinate multiple production assignments at once while meeting deadlines and preserving a high standard of execution.
• Advanced expertise in Adobe InDesign, particularly in formatting and producing lengthy, content-heavy documents.
• Demonstrated experience updating and refining manuals, training materials, guides, or other structured documents.
• Strong working knowledge of creating fillable forms and applying document production best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and uphold quality standards.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Background in print production and production art workflows is strongly preferred.
