A leading publishing company is seeking a Book Designer to join their team. This 2 year contract role will be an onsite schedule from Monday to Thursday and Friday will be remote. The ideal candidate will have trade book publushing experience.

Book Designer Responsibilities:
- Transform initial concepts into visually engaging book layouts for various titles.
- Collaborate with art directors, editors, and production managers throughout all phases of book creation.
- Prepare and format files for printing, including making corrections and creating mechanicals.
- Develop and present innovative cover and interior designs for review.
- Ensure production schedules are maintained and projects are delivered on time.
Book Designer Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in book design, especially in trade publishing.
- Demonstrated talent in layout, typography, and color application.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for presenting ideas and collaborating with team members.
