Kaylus is an early-stage consumer rewards platform connecting shoppers with consumer brands. As we prepare for beta and ultimately market launch, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on fractional marketing consultant to help shape how Kaylus presents itself to consumers, brands, and the broader market.
This role will help define and refine our messaging, brand positioning, marketing strategy, content direction, and forward-facing website. We have strong product and business development underway, but need an experienced fractional marketing leader who can translate what we are building into a clear, compelling, and consistent external identity.
We currently have part-time social media support and other creative resources. This person will provide the senior marketing direction that ties those efforts together in order to establish what Kaylus should communicate, how we should communicate it, and ensuring that execution remains consistent with that direction.
Responsibilities include:
Shape Kaylus’s overall messaging, positioning, brand voice, and market-facing identity.
Help define how Kaylus communicates its value to both consumers and CPG brands.
Guide the messaging, structure, and content of the Kaylus website as we prepare for launch.
Develop marketing themes and campaigns that translate the product into compelling consumer stories.
Establish an organic content and social media strategy.
Direct and support existing social media and creative resources.
Write and edit important marketing and website content as needed.
Maintain consistency across website, social, presentations, and other external communications.
Build a repeatable marketing process that operates with limited founder oversight.
The ideal candidate has meaningful experience in consumer marketing, brand strategy, positioning, and content, preferably with an early-stage or emerging consumer technology company. Experience with consumer apps, rewards, loyalty, marketplaces, fintech, is helpful but not required.
We are looking for a hands-on practitioner with strong strategic judgment, not a strategy-only advisor. The right person should be equally comfortable developing the overarching brand direction and rolling up their sleeves to improve messaging, copy, campaigns, and creative execution.
This is an initial 90-day independent consulting engagement, with the potential for an ongoing relationship. We anticipate approximately 20–25 hours per month, with a target budget of $2,500–$3,000 per month, depending on experience and scope.
To apply, please provide your LinkedIn profile or résumé and 2–3 examples of relevant work you personally led, particularly examples involving brand positioning, consumer messaging, website development, or bringing an emerging product to market.
