Position Overview
The Senior Social Content Creator is a hands-on, player-coach creative professional who produces high-quality social-first content while helping elevate the work of fellow creators. This position combines concepting, video production, visual design, and creative mentorship. You will create engaging content across short-form video, photography, motion, graphics, and other digital formats while providing creative guidance to a team of Social Content Creators.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and provide constructive creative feedback to a team of Social Content Creators.
- Review social and video deliverables for concept strength, brand consistency, accessibility, and technical quality.
- Concept and produce social-first content across video, photography, graphics, motion, and digital formats.
- Shoot, edit, and produce short-form and vertical video optimized for social channels.
- Coach team members on video production, editing techniques, visual storytelling, and platform best practices.
- Translate communications priorities, campaign ideas, and social strategies into compelling visual narratives.
- Create and oversee social graphics, motion assets, digital cards, and related content using established design systems.
- Adapt larger campaigns, stories, and editorial content into channel-specific social executions.
- Partner with content leads, social strategists, editors, and cross-functional creative partners to develop strong ideas.
- Capture timely content connected to events, leadership communications, employee stories, milestones, and other key moments.
- Manage a mix of planned projects and quick-turn assignments while maintaining exceptional creative quality.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and ensure final assets meet required review, brand, and publishing standards.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in social content creation, video production, digital creative, design, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an advertising agency, corporate in-house studio, content team, or similarly fast-paced creative environment.
- Experience mentoring, guiding, or reviewing the work of other creatives; candidates ready to step into their first formal leadership opportunity are encouraged to apply.
- A strong portfolio featuring social-first work, especially short-form and vertical video, along with examples of collaborative or team-led creative work.
- Hands-on video shooting and editing experience, including knowledge of lighting, composition, audio, pacing, and storytelling.
- Strong visual design capabilities and experience creating social graphics and other digital assets.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, and/or comparable video, motion, and design tools.
- Strong understanding of major social platforms, evolving content trends, and channel-specific creative formats.
- Ability to turn broad messages and strategic priorities into clear, visually engaging content concepts.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to balance hands-on production with creative leadership.
- A collaborative approach and comfort working as part of an integrated creative team.
