Required Experience
- 2 to 4 years of social media or community management experience, including managing engagement across major platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok.
- Strong moderation skills, including enforcement of community guidelines and conflict resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with fast, accurate responses in public and private exchanges.
- Quick thinking and strong stress management skills for high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with social listening and analytics tools, and the ability to translate insights into action.
- Professionalism with confidentiality and data protection obligations, and the ability to escalate legal or security concerns when necessary.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You own day-to-day community management and engagement across client social channels. This means you're accountable for representing brands consistently, responding to community members promptly and appropriately, monitoring for issues or trends, and escalating problems when needed. You follow established brand guidelines, execute engagement strategies, and ensure every interaction protects and strengthens the brand's community presence.
Core Responsibilities
- Follow brand guidelines, voice, and tone to represent the brand consistently across platforms.
- Execute community engagement by seeding conversations, participating in relevant industry discussions, responding promptly to mentions, comments, and direct messages, and triaging sensitive interactions.
- Monitor channels for sentiment and signals, surface community insights, and report trends and issues to the social strategist.
- Enforce community guidelines, moderate conversations, de-escalate conflicts, and escalate violations or sensitive incidents to leadership.
- Maintain daily channel coverage, message templates, and a content engagement calendar, ensuring coverage across time zones as required.
- Track and report community and social metrics, support experiments to improve engagement, and document outcomes for the social strategist.
Location, Timezone & Work Setup
- Work Setup: Fully remote, freelance part-time
- Primary Target: Locations East Asia
- Timezone: 1 hour overlap with EST for meetings
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $20–$30 CAD / hour Range reflects the North America region. May vary for candidates in other regions based on cost-of-labor norms.
- Expected Total Comp (OTE): $20–$30 CAD / hour
- Total compensation includes: Company-wide profit sharing Commission on expansions/extensions
- How We Set Comp: Final compensation is determined by experience, role level, and location. We use a role × level × location framework. We pay intentionally, hire globally, and reward impact.
