Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to support its Consumer Group Communications team and the brand’s social media channels. This role combines real-time community engagement with hands-on content creation and is designed for someone comfortable serving as both on-camera talent and the voice of the product across social platforms.
The Social Media Manager will help launch and grow a new set of brand channels from the ground up, serving as the founding voice and face of those channels while building the content strategy, production engine, and on-camera presence.
This role blends social strategy and content creation. The Social Media Manager will establish the editorial vision and content calendar while also conceiving, shooting, editing, and publishing content. Success will involve building audience traction, establishing a distinct creative voice, and developing a repeatable content system that can scale with the brand.

Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Community Engagement
- Continuously monitor social platforms, comments, and cultural conversations to identify:
- Emerging trends
- Audience behaviors
- Conversation patterns
- Opportunities for the brand
- Translate social listening, community feedback, and cultural signals into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with creative and strategy teams to ensure real-time insights influence content development.
- Proactively identify and execute trendjacking opportunities, determining when and how the platform should participate in relevant moments, memes, and conversations.
- Identify and capitalize on real-time engagement opportunities.
- Insert the brand voice into relevant conversations in a timely, authentic, and value-adding way.
Content Creation & Production
- Own day-to-day social media engagement while serving as a hands-on content creator.
- Produce platform-native content across:
- X
- Reddit
- Discord
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Meta
- Emerging channels
- Concept, create, and publish both short- and long-form content.
- Produce content featuring:
- On-camera appearances
- Voiceovers
- Reactive formats
- Conceive, shoot, and edit content independently, moving quickly from idea to publication.
- Partner with agency teams to scale production for larger campaigns and higher-lift concepts.
Editorial & Creative Strategy
- Develop and execute content strategies and editorial calendars.
- Balance planned campaigns with real-time and trend-driven opportunities.
- Monitor culture, trends, memes, and platform behaviors.
- Translate cultural truths, tensions, and insights into fast, actionable creative briefs for internal and partner teams.
- Write compelling, platform-specific copy that demonstrates:
- Strong brand voice
- Sharp wit
- Deep understanding of social nuance
- Use planned and reactive content to build relevance, community, and brand affinity.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager and/or Content Creator.
- Strong portfolio of original, platform-native work.
- High proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent creative tools, including:
- Photoshop
- Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Experience with social media management tools for listening and engagement, such as Sprinklr, Plot, or similar platforms.
- Comfortable and confident appearing on camera.
- Ability to direct and produce self-shot or lo-fi content.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone, humor, and messaging across platforms and formats.
- Expertise in social media platforms, channels, and community management best practices.
- Strong understanding of social trends, internet culture, and audience behavior.
- Ability to move quickly without sacrificing brand integrity.
- Experience working within editorial calendars while remaining agile enough to respond to real-time opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching new brand social channels from the ground up.
- Experience building social audiences and establishing a distinct brand voice.
- Experience collaborating with agency partners on larger campaigns and higher-lift creative concepts.
