- Design and iterate on critical user flows including trials, onboarding, activation, and self-service experiences.
- Develop and optimize conversion loops, adoption strategies, and mechanisms for progressive discovery of additional product value.
- Champion a PLG mindset, ensuring that the product itself drives acquisition, retention, and expansion.
- Analytics & Product Instrumentation:
- Leverage strong quantitative skills to define and track key product metrics.
- Define activation and value events, behavioral funnels, and adoption metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering to define telemetry requirements for robust product instrumentation.
- Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of design changes and product initiatives.
- Ensure that usage depth, measurable expansion, and trusted usage telemetry are central to our product development.
- User Research & Discovery Skills:
- Conduct direct user research, including customer observations, interviews, and usability studies.
- Gain a deep understanding of user workflows and underlying needs.
- Effectively differentiate between stated user requests and their actual underlying problems.
- Utilize research findings to inform product strategy, prioritize features, and drive iterative design improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role with a strong emphasis on practical application of UX principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing for Product-Led Growth, including onboarding, activation, and conversion optimization.
- Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, prototyping tools, and usability testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in defining and tracking product metrics and designing experiments.
- Proficiency in user research techniques, including interviews, usability studies, and workflow analysis.
- Excellent systems thinking capabilities and the ability to see the bigger picture of the customer experience.
- Ability to translate complex user needs and business goals into elegant and effective design solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly.
- Experience with product instrumentation and telemetry is highly desirable.
