Our client, a major global technology platform, is actively looking for a Product Designer to join their team in San Diego! This is a hybrid position, candidates must be willing to commute on-site 2x per week in either San Diego, San Francisco, or Mountain View, CA.

As a Product Designer, you will lead design across a complicated domain — owning end-to-end expert and customer success workflows. You'll bring deep craft and systems thinking to the tools, workflows, and AI-assisted experiences that empower our Customer Success Managers, product experts, and domain specialists to deliver exceptional service. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of complex enterprise systems and elegant simplicity, and who is energized by solving big operational challenges through intentional, AI-forward design.
Responsibilities:
- Interaction design — Distill complicated CSM and expert workflows into simple, clear designs and strategies. Own and visualize your domain's end-to-end experiences
- Visual design — Role model high standards of taste, balancing creativity and innovation with consistency.
- Designing with AI — Lead the application of AI in your domain's design strategy, delivering AI-powered tools and workflows that standardize expert activities, reduce manual effort, and streamline customer success operations.
- Use AI-assisted tools to rapidly prototype conversational flows, agentic experiences, and usability test artifacts.
- Deliver design specs that are agent-ready and thoroughly reviewed for system alignment, edge cases, and feasibility
- Dive deep into customer and expert research to pinpoint critical pain points and uncover opportunities in the CSM journey.
- Design standards — Drive adherence to design standards and practices on the team. Identify inconsistencies across experiences in the domain
- Organize and maintain shared resources in Figma, including templates for repeatable processes.
- Apply strategic thinking to translate complex platform and customer success capabilities into intuitive, expert-centered journeys.
- Lead cross-functional workshops, design reviews, and roadmap conversations that bring product, engineering, data science, and ops partners into shared vision.
- Coach junior and mid-level designers on craft, process, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction Design Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product design interaction design or a related field - ideally at a SaaS platform or enterprise company.
- Expert command of user-centered design methods including systems thinking interaction design visual design and research synthesis.
- Proven track record of leading design from ambiguous problems to shipped product at significant scale.
- Experience designing complex multi-sided or platform-level products - bonus if this includes enterprise mid-market customer success or AI-driven experiences.
- Familiarity with enterprise design systems e.g. Salesforce Lightning and a knack for simplifying complex operational workflows into intuitive scalable solutions.
