We are looking for a highly strategic, creative, and performance-minded Senior Social Media Manager to lead and evolve Persona’s organic social presence across all major platforms.
Role Overview
The Senior Social Media Manager will own Persona’s overall organic social strategy, content direction, publishing cadence, and channel growth across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
This role is responsible for driving audience growth, engagement, content performance, and brand relevance through highly creative and platform-native storytelling. The ideal candidate understands beauty culture deeply, has strong instincts for social trends and content formats, and knows how to turn social channels into meaningful brand growth engines.
This role will work closely with the Community Manager, while maintaining distinct ownership and responsibilities. The Community Manager will focus primarily on community engagement, relationship management, and audience interaction, while this role will focus on strategy, creative direction, channel growth, content planning, and performance optimization.
This role will work directly with the founders, influencer team, creative team, and paid media team.
Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Channel Growth
- Develop and execute Persona’s organic social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
- Build platform-specific growth strategies designed to increase reach, engagement, followers, and overall brand awareness
- Identify social trends, cultural moments, sounds, and platform opportunities relevant to the beauty space
- Translate performance insights into actionable content optimizations and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with paid media teams to identify high-performing organic content suitable for paid amplification
Content Planning & Creative Leadership
- Own the monthly social content calendar and publishing cadence
- Lead social-first campaign planning around product launches, promotions, retail moments, evergreen storytelling, and founder content
- Concept and oversee short-form video content including tutorials, trend-driven content, BTS, educational beauty content, and creator-style storytelling
- Brief and direct creators, freelancers, and internal teams to execute content aligned with Persona’s brand vision
- Ensure all social content maintains a consistent visual identity and premium yet approachable brand voice
Performance & Analytics
- Monitor KPIs including engagement, follower growth, video views, saves, shares, traffic, EMV, and social-driven revenue
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with recommendations and strategic insights
- Analyze competitor activity and emerging platform behavior to keep Persona ahead of trends
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with influencer marketing, creative, paid media, and e-commerce teams
- Work collaboratively with the Community Manager to ensure brand voice consistency and strong audience experience across channels
- Help establish scalable social workflows, creative systems, and operational processes
- Potentially manage junior social team members, freelancers, or external creative partners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of social media experience within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brands
- Proven success growing social channels and driving meaningful engagement
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form content ecosystems
- Deep understanding of beauty culture, creator trends, and platform behavior
- Strong creative instincts with an eye for social-first storytelling
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and copywriting abilities
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, founder-led environment
- Experience using social scheduling and analytics platforms
- Photography, video editing, or creator experience is a strong plus
Preferred Experience
- Beauty industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with founder-led or creator-led brands
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop and social commerce ecosystems
- Understanding of performance creative and paid social collaboration
- Experience managing freelancers, creators, or junior team members
