About the Role
- Google is seeking an experienced UX Writer & Content Designer to help shape the next generation of AI-powered creation experiences across Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Vids, and Pics.
- This role combines UX writing, product content strategy, AI interaction design, and systems thinking. You will help make complex AI capabilities intuitive, useful, and consistent while preserving familiar user workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product content strategies, terminology frameworks, naming conventions, and end-to-end user journeys across multiple product surfaces.
- Design clear, intuitive content for AI-powered experiences, including system instructions, AI responses, revisions, errors, and uncertainty states.
- Establish scalable content standards, taxonomies, and governance practices across cross-functional product teams.
- Create and refine interface copy, onboarding experiences, microcopy, and error messages using a clear, consistent product voice.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, Researchers, and leadership to align content decisions with user needs and product goals.
- Help evolve traditional creation workflows into AI-enabled experiences across text, voice, and visual content.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or product content strategy for complex consumer or enterprise software.
- Strong understanding of AI/LLM capabilities and how to design effective user interactions with AI-powered products.
- Experience developing information architecture, taxonomies, terminology guidelines, and scalable content frameworks.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interface-copy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing AI assistants, conversational experiences, or generative AI product workflows.
- Experience supporting multi-product platforms or enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
- Familiarity with multimodal experiences, design systems, and content governance.
- Experience defining product voice, naming architecture, and system-level content standards.
