About the roleYoushaei Studios is the team behind Jon Youshaei's YouTube channel, which has over 300 million views. We've made videos with MrBeast, Mark Rober, Dude Perfect, Liza Koshy, Tana Mongeau, Codie Sanchez, and more. We also publish creator.news, a weekly creator-economy newsletter with 28,000 email subscribers and 66,000 more on LinkedIn.
We're hiring a fully remote, contract-to-hire Content & Social Media Lead (Pacific or Mountain time zone) to run everything we publish outside of long-form: social media, shorts selects, and the newsletter. This is an entry-level role, and we'd love to hear from recent grads. Our long-form team is strong. Now we need someone with great taste and a sharp pen to make sure that work reaches people everywhere else.
This role is a mix of writer, curator, and designer. You'll decide what we post, how it looks, and what it says.
What you'll doSocial media
- Run our Instagram accounts and other social channels day to day
- Curate each feed: select photos, decide what goes up, and keep the look consistent
- Write every caption and post, in a voice that's sharp, clear, and on brand
- Plan and keep a steady posting schedule
- Track what's working each week and adjust
Design
- Create post visuals, carousels, and graphics in Photoshop
- Keep a consistent visual style across all accounts
Shorts
- Watch our long-form videos and pull the best moments for shorts
- Brief editors on selects, hooks, and captions
- Post shorts across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
Newsletter
- Write and publish our weekly creator-economy newsletter, creator.news, from start to finish
- Pick the topic, write the article, edit it, and send it
- Report on opens, clicks, and subscriber growth
What we're looking forRequired
- Excellent copywriting. You can write a caption that stops the scroll and a headline people click.
- Deep knowledge of the creator economy. You follow the platforms, the creators, the deals, and the business behind them, and you have opinions about it.
- Strong newsletter writing. You can turn an idea into a clear, smart weekly article.
- A great eye. You know which photo to pick, which moment to clip, and what makes a feed look good.
- Photoshop. You're fluent in Photoshop and can make clean, on-brand visuals.
- Hands-on social experience. You've run an account (personal, school, club, or freelance) and know how each platform works.
- Organized and reliable. You keep a posting schedule and hit a weekly deadline without being chased.
Bonus Skills & Experience:
- Video editing in After Effects
- Experience at a creator, media company, or YouTube channel
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up research and drafts
