Contract | Up to 30 Hours/Week | Potential Full-Time Opportunity
If you live and breathe the NFL and NBA, have a sharp eye for design, understand social media, and take pride in getting things right the first time—we want to talk to you.
WONDR Media is a growing sports media post-production company working behind the scenes with sports content creators, podcasters, influencers, and brands.
We help our clients turn ideas into content—from short-form social clips and long-form video to complete podcast post-production and social media management.
Now we're looking for a Sports Content & Social Producer to join our team.
This isn't a role where you'll be sitting around waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
We're looking for someone who can see what needs to be done, figure it out, execute it, and communicate along the way.
If that's you, keep reading.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
Your days will sit at the intersection of sports, content production, graphic design, and social media.
🎨 Graphics & Creative
You'll help make the content look as good as it performs.
You'll create:
- Podcast lower thirds and on-screen graphics in Adobe Photoshop
- Basic graphics and design elements in Adobe Illustrator
- YouTube thumbnails designed to grab attention and earn the click
- Visual assets for livestreamed podcast shows
- Supporting graphics and creative assets for social content
We're not looking for a world-class graphic designer.
We are looking for someone with strong visual instincts who knows when something looks right—and, just as importantly, when it doesn't.
🏀🏈 Sports Research & Asset Gathering
This is a sports-first role.
You'll regularly research and gather:
- Player photos
- Game/action photos
- Video clips
- Team imagery
- Other visual assets needed for livestreams and content
You need to know which team a player is actually on.
You need to recognize when a photo is outdated.
And if a producer says, "I need three good photos of this player from this season," you should know how to go find them without needing your hand held.
Strong NFL and NBA knowledge is a must.
📱 Social Media
You'll also help our clients get their content into the world.
That includes:
- Writing and ideating social captions
- Developing copy for social posts
- Uploading and publishing content
- Helping organize social content calendars
- Packaging content appropriately for different platforms
- Identifying opportunities to make posts more compelling
- Working with our editors and producers to make sure content is ready to publish
You should understand that posting content isn't the same thing as managing social media well.
You should have a feel for what makes someone stop scrolling.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Here's the most important part.
We're looking for someone who is:
Independent.
You don't need someone checking on you every two hours.
Organized.
You can manage multiple projects, keep track of deadlines, and know what's coming next.
Detail-oriented.
You notice the wrong logo.
You catch the misspelled player's name.
You notice when the graphic doesn't line up.
You don't let obvious mistakes make it to the client.
Creative.
You don't just complete the assignment. You think about how it could be better.
A strong communicator.
If you're stuck, you speak up.
If something is going to be late, you communicate early.
If you have an idea, you share it.
Reliable.
We work in a deadline-driven production environment.
When you say something will be done, it's done.
And most importantly:
You care about the work.
We want people who take pride in putting their name on something and think, "I'd want this to represent me."
WHAT YOU NEEDRequired
- Strong knowledge of the NFL and NBA
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Basic experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Experience creating YouTube thumbnails
- Strong written communication and grammar
- Experience writing social media copy
- Comfortable uploading/publishing content across social platforms
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines independently
- Strong attention to visual detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with editors, producers, and other creatives
Big Plus
- Experience working in sports media
- Experience working with podcasts
- Experience with livestream productions
- Experience gathering sports photo/video assets
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience managing social accounts
- Previous agency, production company, sports media, or creator-economy experience
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This probably isn't the right opportunity for you if:
- You need to be micromanaged.
- You regularly miss deadlines.
- You're careless with spelling or grammar.
- You don't know the NFL or NBA beyond the biggest stars.
- You don't enjoy working quickly.
- You don't like receiving feedback.
- You'd rather complete exactly what's assigned than think about how to improve it.
- You're looking for a purely graphic-design role.
We're building a team of people who own their work.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is initially a contract position through the end of February, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as WONDR continues to grow.
Up to 30 hours per week
The workload will vary throughout the week, with the heaviest workload generally falling on Mondays and Fridays.
This is a remote position and requires strong communication and availability during key production windows.
You'll be working directly with a growing sports post-production team and contributing to content for creators, podcasters, and brands.
If you're looking for a place where you can simply check boxes, this probably isn't it.
If you want to be part of a team that's building something in sports media, we'd love to meet you.
