Interactive Developer/Designer (Email)
6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Fully Remote (Miami, FL; Irving, TX; or Irvine, CA candidates preferred)
Our client's in-house creative agency is looking for a senior Interactive Developer/Designer to support a high-volume email program. The team produces 300+ emails a week on fast turnarounds. You'll join a small group of email programmers, building and editing emails from established templates and modules and making smart design calls along the way.
What you'll do:
- Build and edit emails, mostly in Stensul (training provided), with custom builds and sends in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Work from Airtable queues and spec sheets managed by the Digital Ops team, prioritizing jobs by deadline
- Crop, resize, and retouch images in Photoshop to fit templates, keeping focus on what matters in each shot
- Make design adjustments on your own, without waiting for designer direction
- Troubleshoot rendering issues across email clients like Outlook and Gmail
- Create quick animated GIFs for email headers as needed
- Bring a fresh eye to the team's process and suggest ways to work faster
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of interactive design and email production experience
- Strong HTML and CSS, with specific experience coding responsive emails, not just websites
- Hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience on the email side
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop
- A strong design eye and the ability to work within established brand templates
- Comfort with high volume, tight deadlines, and feedback
- AMPscript, Stensul, and animation (After Effects) experience are pluses
- A portfolio is strongly recommended
