Social Media Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Type: Part-Time, Hourly
Schedule: 25–35 hours per week
Reports to: Link Creative Leadership
About Link Creative
At Link Creative, we’re building more than a traditional marketing agency. We are a digital growth partner built around creative, content, strategy, technology, and measurable results.
Our ecosystem currently includes Link Creative, our digital marketing and growth partner, and Link Label Studios, our creator, podcast, and media production studio. Both brands are growing quickly, and we’re looking for someone who can help shape how these companies show up online.
This is an opportunity to join a young, ambitious, creative company and have a meaningful impact on the brands themselves.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day social presence and digital brand management for Link Creative and Link Label Studios.
This is an internal-facing role. Rather than managing a large portfolio of client accounts, you’ll be deeply embedded in our own brands, working closely with our Production Coordinators, Account Managers, leadership team, and creative team to ensure our content is consistent, current, strategic, and visually strong.
You’ll be responsible for taking content from concept to distribution. That includes concepting, batching, scheduling, publishing, reporting, trend research, analytics, brand coordination, and day-to-day social execution.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands modern social media and has a strong instinct for what looks good, what feels current, and what people actually want to watch.
You should be someone who can look at a brand and immediately identify opportunities to make its content better.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management
- Own the day-to-day social media presence for Link Creative and Link Label Studios.
- Manage content distribution across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.

Content Concepting & Creative
- Develop new content concepts, recurring series, social formats, hooks, and creative ideas.
- Stay extremely current on social media trends, platform updates, editing styles, sounds, formats, and cultural moments.
- Bring new ideas to the table rather than simply executing an existing content calendar.
- Help identify what content should be filmed, edited, repurposed, or distributed.
- Be comfortable filming high-quality iPhone content for social media.
- Help direct and communicate creative concepts to the production team.
- Understand how to turn everyday moments, events, team activity, client work, and company culture into social content.
- Maintain a strong visual and aesthetic standard across both brands.
Production & Team Coordination
- Work closely with Production Coordinators to ensure content is being produced, edited, and delivered according to schedule.
- Work closely with Account Managers and leadership to ensure brand messaging and priorities are accurately represented.
- Review creative assets before publishing for accuracy, quality, consistency, and brand alignment.

Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor social performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Track key metrics including reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, views, watch time, website traffic, and other relevant KPIs.

- Help determine which content formats, topics, hooks, and creative approaches are performing best.
- Contribute to monthly reporting and internal performance reviews.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the company's Google Business Profiles.
- Assist with SEO-related reporting and content performance.
- Use data to inform future content decisions rather than simply reporting numbers.

- Help represent Link Creative and Link Label Studios from an internal brand management perspective.
- Coordinate social coverage around events, launches, shoots, activations, partnerships, and company initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to capture content before, during, and after events.

- Advanced CapCut skills.
- Strong Canva skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.

- Strong visual instincts and an excellent eye for aesthetics, composition, typography, and branding.
- Strong copywriting and caption-writing skills.
- Comfortable working with analytics and understanding social performance data.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple moving pieces and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a creative team.
- Able to take direction while also bringing independent ideas and initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can move quickly.
What We’re Looking For
More than anything, we’re looking for someone who gets social media.
You should naturally notice trends before everyone else does. You should have strong opinions about what looks good. You should understand why certain videos work, why certain hooks stop people from scrolling, and how brands can create content that feels native to each platform.
You should be:
- Creative without needing to be told what to create.
- Aesthetic with a strong eye for visual quality and branding.
- Current on trends, creators, formats, sounds, and social culture.
- Proactive about identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Detail-oriented enough to catch mistakes before they go live.
- Analytical enough to understand what the data is telling you.
- Organized enough to consistently manage a content pipeline.
- Collaborative enough to work seamlessly with production, account management, and leadership.
- Comfortable on the ground filming content, attending events, and helping bring ideas to life.
We want someone who can be both creative and operational. Someone who can come up with the idea, help execute it, get it edited, schedule it, publish it, and then look at the numbers afterward to determine what we should do next.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time hourly position
- 25–35 hours per week
- Committed, consistent weekly schedule
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and skill set
- Primarily focused on the internal brands of Link Creative and Link Label Studios
- Opportunity to grow with the company and potentially transition into a full-time role as the organization continues to grow
Why Join Link Creative?
You’ll have the opportunity to work directly on brands that you can actually help shape.
You won’t be buried under dozens of client accounts or handed a rigid content calendar to execute. You’ll have the opportunity to build, experiment, create, test, and influence the way two growing Chicago brands show up online.
You’ll work alongside a creative production team, account management team, and company leadership while gaining exposure to the full process of modern digital marketing, content production, social media, analytics, branding, and business growth.
If you’re someone who is creative, social-first, highly organized, aesthetically driven, and excited to build something, we want to meet you.
