We are looking for a Social Media Specialist in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to develop and execute social media strategies that increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who understands how to create content, manage social channels, monitor performance metrics, and optimize campaigns across multiple platforms while aligning social media efforts with broader marketing goals. As the assignment progresses, this person may also contribute ideas for future content development in collaboration with marketing partners.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to support content strategy and campaign execution.
- Perform basic photo and video editing to optimize content for social platforms.
- Write clear, brand-aligned captions and messaging that support marketing goals and increase engagement across social channels.
- Transform existing materials such as blog articles, website copy, photos, and videos into social posts tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook audiences.
- Schedule and publish content through HubSpot and native platform tools while keeping distribution organized and timely.
- Partner with external creative resources, including freelance videographers, to support future content development initiatives.
- Experience managing social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Understanding of social media marketing, content strategy, and audience engagement best practices.
- Experience repurposing marketing assets into platform-specific social media content.
- Photo and video editing skills, including clipping, resizing, sequencing, and captioning.
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with HubSpot, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva.
- Access to a mobile device for Instagram content management and publishing.
