Artisan Council is seeking a contract Social Media Coordinator, to be the voice, the ears, the personality, and at times the face of several of our clients, bringing constant innovation and forward thinking to the table. This is a 3-month contract role.
You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team in a role that touches all aspects of Social and Content: engagement, follower growth, analysis, photography, video, design, creative briefs, live production, moderation and strategy, as well as influencer integration, analysis, reporting, and team management.
This position will be remote, reporting to the Associate Director, Social and Content. The successful candidate will be an analytical hard worker who is hungry to learn, as well as show responsibility for their tasks while making strategic, analytical based suggestions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will support the development, execution, scheduling, and measurement of social media campaigns for several clients, across all social media communities and accounts.
- You will support daily publishing across social platforms, including scheduling, posting, tagging, link checks, and quality control to ensure content goes live accurately and on time.
- You will draft and refine platform-native social copy, including captions, community responses, and other supporting social language, with guidance from senior team members.
- You will actively monitor social and cultural trends, platform updates, trending formats, sounds, and conversations, flagging relevant opportunities for clients and the broader team.
- You will maintain and update content calendars across all social media channels and accounts, including helping brief and coordinate with content producers.
- You will pull social media data and compile clear, consistent reports on social metrics and campaign/promotion results to share with the team.
- You will be familiar with community management and moderation best practices, supporting monitoring, engagement, and escalation across client channels as needed.
- You will assist in ideating and preparing short and long-term campaign concepts and social strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
- You will support the execution of social media strategies and initiatives aimed at increasing reach, views, retention, engagement, and follower growth.
- You will help identify and flag opportunities for growth and engagement tactics to inform content calendar and community management decisions.
- You will help manage client requests, escalating and prioritizing with guidance from senior team members; support ad hoc analysis as needed.
- You will monitor target community content trends and behavior through social listening of relevant words, phrases, and competitor social presences.
- You will support client communications and may attend off-site meetings and content production opportunities alongside senior team members.
- You will help compile and organize analytical reports on the performance of social content, audiences, partnerships, and web impact.
- You will build your knowledge of emerging and available social media channels and tools.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

- 1+ year community & content management experience, writing/editing social copy with a focus on beauty brands and products.
- Familiarity with social media (including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitter/X) and online content, with evidence of an active social media/web presence.
- Experience assisting with creator sourcing, briefing, or feedback is a plus.
- Experience supporting high-volume content planning.
- Content Creation: Basic design and content filming/editing ability (TikToks, Instagram Stories, etc.) and general familiarity with video editing tools is a plus.
- Experience contributing to growing a brand's social media profile — followers, engagement, social sharing, etc.
- Some social community moderation experience.
- Comfort adapting to different tones/brand voices is a plus.
- Creative thinker who can contribute fresh ideas and approaches.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with social media and third-party analytics tools.
- Basic familiarity with SEO best practices and SEO-friendly copywriting.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Office suite, and content production mobile apps.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems and eagerness to learn new systems.
- Interest in and awareness of technology, media, cultural, and content trends; contributes to team brainstorms & conversations.
- Self-starter with strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail, especially under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Adaptability and ability to handle changes with ease.
- Last-minute client requests, quick-turnaround edits, etc.
- Willingness to occasionally work non-traditional hours and pitch in where needed (event support, occasional weekend moderation/posting, etc.)
- General understanding of commercial business practices is a plus.
