Purpose of Job
Newegg is launching an Early Career Talent Program for the 2026 graduating class — a dedicated pathway for new and soon-to-be graduates to join Newegg in full-time hands-on roles across our Tech, Marketing, Design, and Business teams. This is not a passive learning rotation. You will be embedded in a real team, working on real projects, with real ownership from day one.
Notice: this is a 3-month temp to hire position with potential to extend.
Newegg's strongest performers tend to share one thing in common: they joined early in their careers, took ownership of real problems, and grew into broader scope over time. This program is how we plan to keep building that bench.
If you join, you should expect to be treated as a member of the team — not a guest. You'll be invited to team meetings, given a project you'll be accountable for, paired with a mentor, and reviewed on the same kinds of outcomes (just calibrated to experience level) that we use for full-time staff.
Candidates apply to the program broadly; final BU placement is determined during the interview process based on your background, interests, and current team needs. You'll be matched to one of the following four business units:

Sample Projects & Skills You'll Develop
Marketing (SEM / Paid Search)
Search Engine Marketing — Paid Search Strategy, Budgeting & Vendor Management
Own a slice of Newegg's paid search program end to end. Help create, launch, and optimize SEM campaigns across Google, Bing, Amazon Ads, and Reddit — keyword and audience research, ad copy, bid and budget pacing, A/B tests, and ongoing optimization. Support monthly and quarterly forecasting and budgeting for paid media spend, and track actuals against plan. Pull and interpret performance dashboards to find cost-optimization opportunities, then prepare vendor performance reports, budget summaries, and campaign readouts. Sit in on vendor and partner meetings, build the decks, and turn campaign data into a clear performance story for marketing leadership. This is our highest-priority 2026 Marketing opening.
Marketing (Content & Branding)
Performance Marketing, Influencer, Content & Brand
Support influencer marketing end to end — TikTok and YouTube sample seedings, creator onboarding and relationship management, content creation and livestream support, and campaign coordination. Help plan TikTok events, run monthly studio livestreams with vendor partners, support Lan Party livestreams, and contribute to paid/organic campaign analysis and category marketing for product launches.
Marketing (Social Media)
Social Media Marketing
Own end-to-end social execution: content planning, copywriting, and scheduling across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/ YouTube Shorts, Reddit, and X — including scheduling video assets produced by our creative team. Design on-brand graphics, carousels, and templates in tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or Canva. Manage day-to-day community engagement — comments, replies, and DMs. Turn engagement data and platform trends into actionable recommendations for brand and marketing leadership.
Business (Data Analysis)
FP/CS — Fraud Prevention, Customer Service & Operations Data Analytics
Analyze internal operations data and external customer data to identify key Fraud Prevention and Customer Service trends, root causes, and business issues — from chargebacks, order screening, and return or promo abuse to case volume, response time, and resolution rate. Develop data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills by turning insights into actionable recommendations for FP and CS leadership.
Business (Marketplace)
Marketplace — Third-Party Seller Development & Brand Partnerships
Support Newegg's Marketplace team in growing third-party seller and brand partnerships — build target lists, research categories and competitor assortment, size opportunities, and help pitch brand decisionmakers on Newegg's seller programs. Build and deliver partner-facing decks, own pipeline hygiene and follow-up, support onboarding of new sellers, and track results against growth targets. Develop commercial, presentation, and analytical skills in a quota-driven e-commerce environment.
Business (Merchandising)
Merchandising — Product Listing Optimization, Marketing Benchmarking & Email Promotions
Audit and improve product listing pages on Newegg.com — not just imagery and layout, but the substance: titles, specs, bullet content, comparison detail, and accuracy, which means learning the products themselves. Own recurring marketing benchmarking as the core of the role: track competitors’ merchandise, price, and promote the same categories, and turn that into a prioritized fix list and recommendations. Run ongoing competitive analysis, and support email marketing — campaign build and scheduling, promo copy and QA, and reporting on open, click, and conversion results against the promotion calendar.
Internal Audit
Internal Audit — ITGC, SOX Compliance & AI Audit Automation
Support the testing and documentation of IT General Controls (ITGC), IT Application Controls (ITAC), system-generated key reports, and business process controls across the company's enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Active Directory, and related financial applications). Test security administration, change management, IT operations, and cyber security controls, and assist with business process control testing across financial cycles such as Revenue, AP, inventory, and financial close under SOX 404. Perform sample selection, evidence collection, and workpaper documentation per audit methodology and PCAOB/COSO frameworks. Help evaluate controls over AI-assisted processes and use AI tools to automate recurring testing — data extraction, sample selection, exception identification, and control attribute testing. Build deep expertise in SOX compliance and AI-driven audit automation.
Tech
Data Science & BI
Support business intelligence, data mining, statistical analysis, and forecasting projects — turning business requirements and complex data into actionable insights, and gaining hands-on experience in AI-enabled analytics, data warehousing, and cross-functional collaboration with business stakeholders and the Data Science/BI team.
What You'll Do — Across All BUs
- Take ownership of a defined project or workstream from day one, with clear deliverables and a stakeholder you'll report progress to.
- Contribute to real team output — your work ships, gets reviewed, and goes into production, marketing campaigns, design systems, or business decisions used by Newegg leaders.
- Attend team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional reviews as a full participant — not as an observer.
- Receive structured feedback from your manager and mentor on a regular cadence, with a mid-point and end-of-program review.
- Build a portfolio of work you can point to in future interviews — including projects with measurable business impact.
Marketing Track — SEM / Paid Search (Priority Opening)
- Strong interest in paid search and performance media — you have a point of view on how Google, Bing, Amazon Ads, and Reddit differ in ad types, cost structures, and where each platform wins.
- Hands-on SEM exposure — coursework, internship, club or campus campaigns, or personal projects where you ran or optimized real paid search spend. One to two years of professional SEM experience is a strong plus.
- Comfortable supporting campaign execution end to end: keyword and audience research, ad copy, launch, bid and budget pacing, A/B testing, and ongoing optimization.
- Analytical rigor — you can read performance dashboards and data matrices, isolate what's moving CPC, CTR, ROAS, and CAC, and turn that into a recommendation.
- Cost-optimization mindset — you look for waste (low-intent keywords, overlapping campaigns, weak landing pages) and can quantify the savings you found.
- Interest in forecasting and budgeting — supporting monthly and quarterly paid media budgets and tracking actuals against plan.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills — you can turn a dense performance report into a clear narrative and present it to vendors, agency partners, and marketing leadership.
- Reliable on a reporting cadence — vendor performance reports, budget summaries, and campaign readouts delivered on time and accurate.
- Academic foundation in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred. Excel proficiency expected; SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio a plus.
Marketing Track — Performance Marketing, Influencer, Content & Brand

- Excellent communication skills — you'll be in daily contact with creators, vendors, and internal partners.

- Comfortable supporting live production, on or off camera. Livestreaming experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with PC build products, components, or gaming hardware is a plus.
- Event coordination experience — TikTok events, monthly studio livestreams with vendor partners, or Lan Party-style activations — is a plus.
Marketing Track — Social Media (Content, Community & Design)
- Own end-to-end social execution across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/YouTube Shorts, Reddit, and X — content planning, copywriting, scheduling, and posting cadence.
- Comfortable scheduling and publishing video assets produced by our creative team, coordinating timing across platforms.
- Design on-brand graphics, carousels, and templates using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or Canva — you don't need to be a full visual designer, but you can execute clean, on-brand layouts independently.
- Hands-on experience managing day-to-day community engagement — comments, replies, and DMs — with a tone that matches the brand voice.
- Analytical instinct — you can read engagement data and platform trends, spot what's driving (or hurting) reach and engagement, and turn that into a clear recommendation.
- Strong point of view on what performs across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, and X, and how content strategy should differ by platform.
- Reliable on a reporting cadence — content calendars, performance recaps, and campaign readouts delivered on time and accurate.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills — you can adapt tone and format across platforms while staying consistent with brand voice.
- Excellent communication skills — you'll work closely with the creative team, marketing leadership, and occasionally external partners or creators.
- Organized and deadline-driven — comfortable managing multiple posts, campaigns, and platforms simultaneously.
- Social media management experience; internship, campus, or personal-project experience considered.
- Familiarity with scheduling/analytics tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, native platform insights) a plus.
- Experience with basic photo/video editing (CapCut, Adobe Express, Premiere/Lightroom) a plus.
Business Track — FP/CS Fraud Prevention, Customer Service & Operations Data Analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you can take a messy data set and come back with a clear business finding, not just a chart.
- Comfortable in Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
- Interest in connecting internal operational data — case volume, response time, resolution rate, workflow, productivity — with external customer data such as feedback, complaints, return reasons, and satisfaction trends, working across multiple data sources to identify relationships between operational performance and customer behavior.
- Interest in fraud and risk analytics — chargebacks, payment and order screening, return or promo abuse, and account takeover patterns — and comfortable working with transaction-level data to separate genuine customer issues from fraud or abuse signals while weighing loss prevention against customer experience.
- Curiosity about e-commerce, operations, or customer experience metrics and how service quality shows up in the numbers; detail-oriented, business-minded, and comfortable in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication skills — you'll present findings and recommendations to Fraud Prevention, Customer Service, and business leadership.
Business Track — Marketplace, Seller Development & Brand Partnerships
- Strong communication and sales instincts — a natural relationship-builder and closer, comfortable pitching brand decision-makers.
- E-commerce and seller business acumen — understands marketplaces, third-party seller programs, and seller economics.
- Strong presentation skills — builds and delivers persuasive decks for brands and internal teams.
- Analytical skills — uses data to prioritize targets, size opportunities, and track results.
- Detail-oriented — disciplined on follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and deal documentation.
Business Track — Merchandising, Product Listing & Marketing Benchmarking
- Genuine product curiosity — willing to learn the categories in depth (PC components, gaming hardware, consumer electronics) so you can judge whether a listing answers a shopper's question, not just whether it looks clean.
- Eye for listing quality — titles, specs, bullet content, imagery, and comparison detail; you can audit a product page and come back with a specific, prioritized fix list.
- Marketing benchmarking is the core of this role — you'll regularly track how competitors' merchandise, price, and promote the same categories, and translate that into recommendations for our pages and campaigns.
- Comfortable running competitive analysis on a recurring cadence and presenting what changed and what we should do about it.
- Interest in email marketing — campaign build and scheduling, promo copy and QA, and reading open, click, and conversion results.
- Familiar with promotion mechanics — discounts, bundles and combos, coupons, and rebates — and how they show up on-site and on email.
- Comfortable in Excel for benchmarking and performance tracking; detail-oriented and consistent on a weekly reporting cadence.
- Strong written communication — clear recommendations backed by what you saw on the page and in the data.
Internal Audit Track — ITGC, SOX & Audit Automation
- Academic foundation in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; coursework or certification progress toward CISA, CIA, or CPA is a plus.
- Interest in internal audit and SOX 404 compliance — basic understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) across Security Administration, Change Management, IT Operations, and Cyber Security.
- Interest in testing IT Application Controls (ITAC), system-generated key reports, and business process controls across financial cycles such as Revenue, AP, inventory, and financial close.
- Comfortable with sample selection, evidence collection, and workpaper documentation under established audit methodology and PCAOB/COSO frameworks.
- Curiosity about AI-driven audit automation — using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to automate data extraction, sample selection, exception identification, and documentation drafting.
- Exposure to ERP systems, particularly SAP (FI/CO modules, transaction codes, authorization objects), is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and able to pick up new systems quickly; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication — you'll work directly with control owners, process owners, and audit management, and produce workpapers that pass first-round review.
Tech Track — Data Science & BI
- Strong foundation in statistics, data analysis, data mining, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Python; Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau are a plus.
- Familiarity with databases, data warehouses, and business intelligence concepts is preferred.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to support analysis, automation, research, or problem-solving.
- Able to translate business questions from U.S. stakeholders into structured analysis and clear data requirements.
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones with our Data Science/BI team in Taipei; bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese are strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of a project with limited supervision.
