Contract | 80 Hours/Month | $60/Hour | Hybrid – Los Angeles
About Onzie
Onzie is a women’s activewear brand born in Venice Beach, California, founded by a hot yoga practitioner and her mother. For over a decade, Onzie has been a trusted presence in the yoga and movement community, worn by practitioners in studios around the world.
Onzie sits at the intersection of performance and purpose. We believe sweat is sacred, the body is a canvas, and business can be both grounded and visionary.
All garments are designed and produced in Los Angeles with an emphasis on ethical, human-made craftsmanship. Our sustainability credentials are substantive and independently verified, including OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, PFAS/PFA-free materials, CiCLO® biodegradable technology, plant-based odor control, and UV protection.
Our customer practices hot yoga and mindful movement. She cares about what touches her body, connects with brands that share her commitment to conscious living, and isn't simply buying on price—she's buying on trust, performance, and values alignment.
Following the relaunch of our direct-to-consumer ecommerce business, we're looking for a strategic, creative, and highly hands-on marketer to help us grow the next chapter of Onzie.
The Role
The E-commerce, Retention & Social Marketing Manager will own the day-to-day customer journey across Shopify, Klaviyo, email/SMS, and organic social.
This is a hybrid strategy + execution role for someone who is equally comfortable looking at conversion data, building a Klaviyo campaign, updating Shopify, briefing creative, developing a Reel concept, and engaging with our community.
You'll work closely with the Founder and Head of Business Strategy to translate the Onzie brand into an integrated digital experience that turns attention into customers and customers into loyal advocates.
What You'll Do
E-commerce + Shopify
- Own the day-to-day management and optimization of the Shopify storefront.
- Manage merchandising updates, promotions, product launches, landing pages, and onsite content.
- Continuously evaluate the customer journey from landing page through checkout.
- Identify opportunities to improve navigation, product discovery, product detail page performance, messaging, and conversion.
- Manage and QA site updates to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Partner with designers and developers as needed to execute site improvements.
Email, SMS + Retention
- Own Klaviyo campaign execution, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing.
- Develop and optimize automated flows including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, and customer nurture journeys.
- Build and execute the promotional email and SMS calendar in partnership with leadership.
- Write and/or brief copy and creative across email, SMS, landing pages, and digital campaigns.
- Develop segmentation strategies designed to increase engagement, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Conduct ongoing testing across subject lines, messaging, offers, creative, segmentation, and send strategy.
- Ensure retention marketing consistently reflects Onzie's voice, values, and commercial objectives.
Organic Social + Content
- Develop monthly social storytelling plans aligned with launches, campaigns, retention initiatives, and broader brand priorities.
- Manage the organic content calendar across Instagram and TikTok.
- Develop concepts, hooks, captions, and short-form storytelling that translate the Onzie brand into platform-native content.
- Capture and edit lightweight photo and video content for Reels, TikTok, Stories, and other organic channels.
- Repurpose founder, product, community, and campaign assets into engaging social content.
- Stay current on emerging formats, trends, platform best practices, and wellness/fitness creator culture.
- Help establish a consistent content rhythm and recognizable Onzie social voice.
Community, Creators + Ambassadors
- Build and nurture relationships with yogis, instructors, creators, and micro-ambassadors who authentically align with Onzie.
- Manage creator outreach, communication, gifting coordination, and ambassador content flow.
- Engage with the Onzie community through DMs, comments, tags, and user-generated content.
- Identify opportunities to amplify customer and creator content across organic and retention channels.
- Support creator affiliate initiatives and social commerce opportunities as the program evolves.
CRO, Reporting + Insights
- Serve as a key owner of ecommerce conversion and retention performance.
- Analyze customer behavior and performance using Shopify Analytics, GA4, Klaviyo, and social platform insights.
- Develop hypotheses and testing opportunities to improve conversion and engagement.
- Monitor and communicate weekly and monthly performance across ecommerce, retention, and social.
- Translate data into actionable recommendations rather than simply reporting results.
- Establish benchmarks and track KPIs across conversion, retention revenue, engagement, traffic, and content performance.
