Steve Perkins Studio LLC is a music education and creative arts company focused on helping students and creators develop confidence, creativity, and connection through music, arts, media, and technology. The company includes private music instruction, creative community programs through The Creative Collective, and creative production services.
We are looking for a freelance web designer to help refine and improve our existing website as we continue to grow our brand and expand our creative programs. This project is focused on strengthening the website’s design, user experience, and overall presentation to better communicate our mission and services.
Role Description
The Freelance Web Designer will work on a short-term website refresh project to improve the look, organization, and functionality of the current website. The designer will review the existing site, provide recommendations, and help create a more polished and engaging experience for visitors.
Responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing the current website design and providing improvement recommendations
- Refining page layouts, navigation, and overall user experience
- Improving visual consistency, branding, and content presentation
- Helping organize information so visitors can better understand programs and services
- Making design updates within the existing website platform
- Collaborating with the owner to bring the vision and goals of the brand to life
Qualifications
- Experience with website design, layout, and user experience principles
- Strong portfolio demonstrating web design and visual communication skills
- Ability to improve and refine an existing website rather than starting from scratch
- Understanding of branding, typography, imagery, and content organization
- Experience working with website platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or similar
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate through feedback and revisions
- Experience working with creative businesses, education, nonprofits, or community-focused organizations is a plus
- This is a one-time freelance project with the possibility of future collaboration as Steve Perkins Studio LLC and The Creative Collective continue to grow.
