Golden Mirage is a modern Chinese restaurant serving the Westchester community. We offer distinctive Chinese cuisine, a welcoming dining atmosphere, and special cultural and community events.
We are looking for a creative and reliable part-time Social Media Content Creator to help us showcase our food, restaurant experience, events, and team through engaging digital content.
This is an ideal opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, freelance creator, or aspiring social media professional who enjoys food, restaurants, photography, video production, and local community marketing.
What You’ll Do
You will work directly with the restaurant owner and management team to:
- Visit the restaurant regularly to capture photos and videos
- Create short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook
- Film food preparation, signature dishes, dining experiences, events, and behind-the-scenes content
- Edit videos using CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs
- Write captions and schedule social media posts
- Create flyers, promotional graphics, event announcements, and marketing materials
- Suggest creative content ideas based on current social media trends
- Help promote restaurant events, special offers, and community programs
- Assist with email marketing, Google Business Profile content, and customer engagement
- Organize photos, videos, and other digital content
- Track basic results such as views, engagement, follower growth, and customer responses
What We’re Looking For
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or similar platforms
- Basic photography and short-form video production skills
- Ability to edit videos and create attractive social media content
- Familiarity with Canva and CapCut
- Creative, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and suggesting new ideas
- Available to visit the restaurant in Hartsdale for scheduled content sessions
- Some evening or weekend availability for restaurant events
- Reliable transportation within Westchester County is preferred
Preferred, but Not Required
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, food photography, or local lifestyle content experience
- Experience managing a business social media account
- Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok trends
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or Premiere Pro
- Experience with email marketing, Google Business Profile, or influencer outreach
- An existing portfolio, Instagram account, TikTok account, or examples of previous work
- Ability to communicate in Chinese is a plus, but not required
Schedule
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week to start
- Flexible schedule based on restaurant content needs
- A combination of on-site content creation and remote editing
- Some evening and weekend availability may be needed for special events
- Possibility of additional hours or long-term work based on performance
Compensation
- $20–$30 per hour
- Compensation will be based on experience, portfolio quality, filming ability, editing skills, and social media knowledge
