We help local businesses grow on Instagram with organic content that actually performs. No paid ads, no hacks. We're a small, senior team that cares a lot about craft.
We're hiring a Social Media Content Editor based in Cincinnati. You'll design and edit the content that goes out for our clients every week — primarily graphics and carousels, plus short-form video for Reels. You'll also join us in person at local shoots to help capture content.
This is a part-time, in-person role to start. We'll talk through hours, schedule, and specifics once we know we're a fit.
What you'll do
- Design Instagram graphics and carousels that look clean, on-brand, and scroll-stopping
- Edit short-form vertical video (Reels) with tight pacing, captions, and motion
- Build and maintain template libraries and keep client assets organized
- Join local Cincinnati shoots to help capture photo and video
- Pitch in where the team needs you. We're a small startup, so some weeks that means a shoot, a customer call, or helping get content out the door.
- Take creative direction and feedback, and turn it around fast
What we're looking for
- A strong design eye. Your portfolio shows clean, modern, well-composed work. This is the most important thing.
- Comfortable in the tools we use: Canva for graphics, CapCut and Instagram Edits for video. If you do great work in something else (Figma, Adobe, Premiere), that works too. We care about the output, not the software.
- Some short-form video editing experience. If your design is strong and your video is still developing, we'll coach the video.
- Based in Cincinnati and able to attend shoots in person
- Versatile and adaptable. You're comfortable wearing a few hats on a small, fast-moving team.
- Hungry, coachable, fast, and detail-obsessed. You sweat the small stuff.
Nice to have
- A personal Instagram or portfolio that shows you understand short-form social
- Motion basics (text animation, simple motion graphics)
- Experience designing for brands or creators
