The Role
- Own and execute social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, plus any platform worth our time
- Build and maintain the monthly content calendar, tied to product launches, campaign beats, marketing objectives, and key cultural moments
- Set platform-specific KPIs, track them consistently, and deliver a monthly performance report with a clear point of view on what to push, cut, and test
- Analyze social performance alongside broader marketing and sales data; bring recommendations, not just numbers
- Identify real-time opportunities in sport and culture and move fast when something connects to Legends
- Conceptualize and pitch original campaign ideas and platform activations that feel native, not forced
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and ops on gifting programs, paid social, UGC, and event activations
Content
- Create and publish daily content across platforms; that means writing copy, capturing footage, editing clips, and knowing what performs without being told
- Write and distribute briefs and shot lists to designers, videographers, and copywriters for all upcoming content needs
- Oversee the full content pipeline, ensuring everything published meets Legends brand standards from colors to clothing to copy
- Build out daily IG Stories that connect with our audience, drive engagement, and support sales
- Lead TikTok output with the creative team; content goes up at least once daily and it has to be worth watching
- Own the Instagram grid; present it for leadership sign-off, incorporate feedback, and be the final eye before anything goes live
Community
- Own the inbox: clear DMs, respond to comments, flag what needs escalation, and handle it all in a way that sounds like a person, not a brand account
- Engage proactively with tagged posts, partner content, and community conversations
- Respond to comments and messages on evenings and weekends when the moment calls for it; the brand does not stop
- Know the difference between an audience and a community, and actively build the latter
Engagement / Communication
- Proactively engage with content across platforms: like, comment, repost, and amplify
- Maintain the kind of consistent DM cadence that keeps relationships genuinely warm; follow-through is non-negotiable
- Identify new creators and community members worth bringing into the fold and make the case for them
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a social media or content role; DTC, performance apparel, or sport and fitness brand preferred
- Exceptional writer with sharp attention to grammar, brand voice, and tone; this is a must
- Mastery of major platforms and the emerging ones that matter; you know how they actually work, not just how to post on them
- Proven track record of building and executing campaigns from strategy through publish, with results you can speak to
- Genuine fluency in athlete and sport culture; high aesthetic standards; a clear sense of what Legends is and what it is not
- Comfortable behind a camera; basic photo and video capture is part of every week
- Deep knowledge of social analytics tools; you use data to sharpen strategy, not just report after the fact
- Self-directed and highly organized; you manage multiple workstreams at once and do not need someone to prioritize for you
- Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation formats
- Hands-on with scheduling and editing tools such as Sprout Social, Later, CapCut, or similar
