About the Role
The Social Content Creator owns the lens, the feed, and the frame. You will shoot, edit, and ship original creative for our organic and paid social channels — capturing product, athletes, influencers, ambassadors, and the BUBS lifestyle from our Encinitas HQ. You’ll work side-by-side with our Director of Marketing, Growth Creative Strategist and Director of Influencer Marketing to support customer acquisition, keep the channels vibrant, on-brand, and engage with our audience. This is a hands-on, in-house role. You’ll shoot content (photo and video), write the captions and edit. If you obsess over a hook in the first three seconds, have an opinion about what’s about to trend on TikTok, and care about the difference between a piece of content that scrolls and one that sells — keep reading.
Responsibilities
Content Creation (the core of the role)
- Shoot original photo and short-form video at HQ — product, athletes, ambassadors, lifestyle B-roll.
- Design, Edit and finish content for organic and paid placements (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, statics, story content).
- Build growth creative for paid social in collaboration with the growth team — hooks, variations, A/B-ready cuts.
- Stay on top of trends and translate them into BUBS-flavored content fast.
Organic Social Channels
- Own the content calendar, scheduling, and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Manage community: DMs, comments, mentions, and meaningful engagement with our people. Our people include professional skiers, mountaineers, former NFL players, professional surfers, full time moms, runners, adventurists and all sorts of life enthusiasts.
- Learn and live the BUBS voice. It should inspire, be fun and be relatable. Write captions that hook, with a voice that sounds like BUBS — not just any wellness brand.
- Track performance and adjust — content cadence, formats, and copy — based on what the numbers say.
Social Commerce
- Manage and grow our shoppable storefronts (TikTok Shop, Instagram Shop).
- Partner with the growth team on conversion tracking and optimization.
Photoshoots, Activations & Partners
- Support concepting, shotlists, and on-set execution for brand shoots.
- Help run onsite activations — capture, post, and feed the channels in real time.
- Support influencer, creator, and partner collabs, including product seeding and content handoffs.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years creating content for a DTC brand or agency.
- A reel or portfolio that shows you can shoot AND cut short-form video that actually performs.
- Hands-on with Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva, Claude Design and or similar tools.
- A sharp eye for trends — you spot, adapt, and execute fast without losing the brand.
- Strong copywriter. Your captions hook, and you have an instinct for short-form rhythm.
- Comfortable with social analytics — you read what’s working and adjust on the fly.
- Track record managing organic social channels with a consistent voice and aesthetic.
- Understand both growth creative (hooks, performance, CTR) and organic creative (story, community, earned attention) — and know the difference.
- Fluent in Shopify, Google Workspace, Slack, and a project management tool (Asana or similar).
- Organized, self-directed, and easy to work with cross-functionally. Willing and able to work in the Encinitas office 4 days per week.
Preferred Skills
- You’ve shot for an active, outdoor, fitness, or supplement brand.
- You’ve grown a channel from scratch — yours, a friend’s, or a brand’s.
- You have hands-on social commerce experience (TikTok Shop, IG Shop, Shopify integrations).

- Base salary depends on experience.
