We help e-commerce brands and non-profit organizations improve digital performance through SEO, PPC / paid advertising, email marketing, social media management, campaign strategy, analytics, reporting, and video-driven marketing.
Our work is focused on helping clients improve measurable outcomes such as revenue, traffic, conversions, return on ad spend, visibility, engagement, donor growth, recurring donors, and overall campaign performance.
We are currently building a more structured outbound sales system and are looking for a part-time Business Development Representative / SDR who can help us create qualified sales conversations with the right prospects.
Role Description
This is a part-time, remote contract role for a Business Development Representative / SDR.
This is not a generic cold-calling role. We are looking for someone who can have real, consultative business conversations with e-commerce founders, business owners, marketing directors, non-profit executives, and decision-makers.
The main focus of this role is to generate qualified held meetings, not just book random calendar appointments.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting outbound calls to targeted e-commerce and non-profit prospects
- Starting natural, consultative conversations
- Asking smart discovery questions
- Explaining Avenue180’s services clearly and professionally
- Identifying prospect needs and potential fit
- Handling basic objections naturally
- Booking qualified strategy calls
- Making sure prospects understand what the meeting is about
- Updating CRM records accurately after each call
- Adding clear call notes and lead status updates
- Reporting weekly on calls, conversations, meetings booked, meetings held, and outcomes
- Providing feedback on messaging, objections, and lead quality
Qualifications
- Prior experience as an SDR, BDR, appointment setter, outbound sales rep, or business development professional
- Experience selling or prospecting for digital marketing, SEO, PPC, paid ads, email marketing, agency services, SaaS, or similar B2B services
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Excellent spoken English
- Ability to sound conversational, confident, and credible on the phone
- Comfortable speaking with U.S.-based business owners, founders, marketing leaders, and executives
- Ability to lead a business conversation without sounding robotic, scripted, or overly salesy
- Strong discovery and objection-handling skills
- Organized and disciplined with CRM updates and follow-up
- Experience using CRM tools such as Zoho or similar platforms preferred
- Available during U.S. business hours
Compensation
This is a part-time contractor role to start.
- 8–10 hours per week initially
- $20–$35/hour based on experience
- Bonus available for qualified held meetings
- Opportunity to increase hours if performance is strong
A qualified held meeting means the prospect shows up, understands what Avenue180 does, understands why the meeting was booked, has a real marketing need or growth challenge, and is a decision-maker or strong influencer.
Important Note
We are not looking for a basic cold caller or script reader.
We need someone who can represent a digital marketing agency professionally, understand the prospect’s business quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and clearly explain why a short strategy call may be valuable.
