Position Description: Adrianna Papell Group is seeking for a highly creative Textile Print Designer to support our Creative Services Team on a temporary or freelance basis. Based in the NYC, the Textile Designer focuses on designing and executing innovative textile graphic, patterns and prints that align with brand aesthetics and production standards. Working closely with design, production, and merchandising partners, the Textile Designer blends artistic vision with technical expertise, and brings a strong point of view and fresh ideas on print, pattern, and trends. This role requires strong knowledge and experience using CAD tools like Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

Join our Creative Services Team, where refined aesthetics and technical expertise come together to support the sophisticated, feminine, and commercially driven Adrianna Papell collections. This freelance position is part-time, and the assignment is estimated to be for 2-3 months. A strong portfolio showcasing textile print design is required for consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop prints for Adrianna Papell day dresses and sportswear, consisting of putting artwork into repeat, creating color CADS, and constructing technical artwork packages for mills.
- Create new, proprietary artwork based on visual inspiration.
- Communicate with partners overseas to facilitate artwork development.
- Create color palettes and send out color standards when needed
- Create and maintain library of color.
- Create and maintain lab dip library by season.
- Collaborate with design and technical teams to engineer placement prints.
- Partner on regular basis with design teams and design director to develop brand-right artwork
- Prepare pre-bulk and bulk print standards for factories
- Communicate lab dip comments to mills (comments issued by manager)
Qualifications:
- BFA, Fashion or Textile Design preferred.
- Minimum of 5 Print/Textile/CAD design experience.
- Great eye for color and print
- Extremely detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized and demonstrate great time management skills.
- Understanding of technical aspects of screen printing is an absolute must.
- Ability to translate digital prints into screen-ready prints (indexing color, etc).
- Knowledge of brand aesthetic.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adhere to calendar deadlines.
- Understand engineered/placement prints and working within mill limitations.
- Awareness of current trends in print and color
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative products – specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Portfolio or samples of prior work required.
Hourly Salary Range: $34.00-$42.00 per hour depending on experience.
