About the Role:
Maggy London is looking for a proactive and highly organized Freelance Design Assistant specializing in dresses. This role is essential to our daily operations, bridging the gap between creative design and technical development. You will be the primary gatekeeper for our data and samples, ensuring every style in the collection is tracked, rendered, and prepared to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Rendering: Attend design meetings and assist with all design renderings using Ai and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Sketch Management: Upload and update sketches and manage all sketch revisions to ensure version control.
- Database Oversight (Airtable): Maintain clear, organized design charts and track style development. Ensure all appropriate information and updates are accurately linked to each style within the database.
- Materials & Organization: Organize and update all seasonal fabric and trims. Maintain meticulous purchase records and invoices.
- Collection Prep: Support the team in prepping new collections, including steaming and organizing samples for presentations.
Skills & Requirements:
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabric, garment construction, and fit (specifically for dresses).
- Software: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma.
- Systems Experience: Experience working within Airtable.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the design team.
- Professionalism: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under pressure while meeting commitments accurately.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a "problem-solver" mindset.
