Position Summary
The Social Media Manager will lead the organization’s global social media strategy, amplifying its mission, expanding digital reach, and fostering meaningful engagement across audiences. This role blends strategic planning, storytelling, community management, and performance analytics to strengthen brand visibility and drive impact.
The ideal candidate is both mission-driven and data-informed, with experience managing multi-platform social campaigns for purpose-driven or healthcare-focused organizations.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global social media strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and maintain a content calendar that reflects campaigns, events, research releases, advocacy initiatives, and awareness observances.
- Identify growth opportunities across emerging and established platforms.
Content Development
- Draft, design, and publish engaging content (graphics, video, reels, threads, stories, etc.) tailored to platform best practices.
- Translate complex women’s health research and policy topics into accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free messaging.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and alignment.
Community Engagement
- Manage daily community interactions across platforms, responding thoughtfully and professionally.
- Foster safe, inclusive digital spaces for individuals impacted by women’s health conditions.
- Monitor conversations and escalate sensitive or clinical inquiries appropriately.
Campaigns & Advocacy
- Lead digital campaigns supporting awareness months, global events, fundraising initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
- Coordinate social promotion for webinars, conferences, research publications, and partner collaborations.
- Support influencer and partner amplification strategies.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs including engagement, growth, reach, conversions, and campaign performance.
- Provide monthly performance dashboards with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Optimize content strategy based on data trends and audience behavior.
Brand Stewardship
- Ensure all content reflects the organization’s voice, values, and commitment to inclusivity and equity.
- Maintain consistency in visual identity and messaging across platforms.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing social media for a nonprofit, healthcare, global organization, or mission-driven brand.
- Demonstrated success growing and engaging digital communities.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Meta Business Suite).
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to communicate complex health topics clearly and compassionately.
- Cultural competence and experience engaging global audiences.
- Graphic design and short-form video editing experience preferred (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.).
Pay: $25.00 per hour
