Location: Glendale, CA (Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote Friday)
Pay Rate: $55-59/hour
Contract: 6-month W2 Contract
Description
The Social Media Project Manager will support the execution of Audience & Community initiatives across major entertainment franchises and priority titles. This role focuses on coordinating creator collaborations, tracking engagement initiatives, and ensuring projects move efficiently across internal teams and agency partners.
The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in internet culture, understands social media trends, and has strong project management skills to keep multiple initiatives organized and moving forward. This role will also help ensure creator partnerships and user-generated content align with brand safety and licensing guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage timelines and workflows for Audience & Community initiatives across priority franchise titles and tentpole releases
- Track deliverables related to creator amplification, engagement initiatives, and Surprise & Delight activations
- Maintain project documentation and tracking within Airtable or similar project management systems
- Oversee creator and fan content sourcing pipelines in partnership with agency teams
- Vet creators and fan accounts to ensure alignment with brand safety and company guidelines
- Coordinate with legal, franchise, and marketing stakeholders for approvals and usage rights
- Track licensing and usage needs for user-generated content (UGC) amplification initiatives
- Serve as a day-to-day liaison between internal teams and external agency partners
- Manage recurring status meetings and ensure follow-ups are documented and completed
- Align cross-functional stakeholders across multiple brands and campaigns when needed
- Proactively identify risks, timing conflicts, or resource gaps and escalate as necessary
- Support real-time engagement moments across social platforms
- Provide weekly project updates including progress, performance insights, and sentiment summaries when requested
- Maintain organized tracking of engagement initiatives and creator programs
- Ensure smooth documentation and project handoff at the conclusion of the contract period
Basic Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or project management
- Strong understanding of social media culture, trends, and creator ecosystems
- Experience managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
- Familiarity with Airtable or similar project management/tracking tools
- Strong internet research skills and ability to identify creators, trends, and emerging cultural moments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong visual eye for social media content
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and curious mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with social listening or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with creator partnerships and influencer marketing workflows
- Photoshop or basic visual editing experience
- Experience working with large brands, entertainment companies, or media organizations
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
