About ELAS
At ELAS, we are on a mission to democratize the performing arts. For too long, high-level professional training—voice lessons, dance classes, acting coaching, and career prep—has felt like a "rich kid sport." We are a startup LLC dedicated to bridging the gap between raw talent and professional excellence, making the arts accessible to everyone, whether they are pursuing a hobby or a flourishing career on Broadway, the high seas, or in TV/Film.
Our network is deep, spanning Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, NYC Ballet, and major global entertainment hubs. We are building the future of arts education, and we need a creative partner to help us show the world what we do.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative Social Media Design Consultant to manage our presence on Instagram and TikTok. This is a "faceless" management role focused on high-level content curation, graphic design, and video editing.
As a startup, we are currently maturing our branding and voice. You will work closely with—and receive high oversight and support from—our Founder/CEO and our Strategy & Operations Lead. This is a collaborative role where you will be supported as you help us refine our digital identity.
Key Responsibilities
• Visual Storytelling: Design high-impact social media assets using Canva (must be a "Canva Wizard").
• Video Editing: Edit engaging short-form video content (Reels/TikToks) using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, or OBS.
• Platform Management: Execute a consistent posting schedule on Instagram and TikTok.
• Brand Alignment: Work under the direction of leadership to ensure all content reflects our mission of accessibility and professional excellence.
• Industry Engagement: Use your knowledge of the performing arts to spot trends and create content that resonates with aspiring performers and parents.
Qualifications
• Industry Knowledge: You must have extensive knowledge of the performing arts industry (theatre, dance, vocal coaching, etc.). You understand the "lingo" and the journey of a performer.
• Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Canva and experience with video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.).
• Portfolio Required: You must have a portfolio of work (graphics, video edits, or social grids) ready for submission.
• Coachability: As a startup, we provide high oversight. You should be comfortable with frequent feedback and a collaborative "low autonomy" environment as we build our brand together.
• Education: No degree or prior professional experience is required. We value talent, taste, and a passion for the arts above all else.
Why Join ELAS?
• Mission-Driven Work: Help us break down barriers in the performing arts industry.
• Mentorship: Work directly with industry professionals with connections to Broadway, NYC Ballet, and beyond.
• Growth Opportunity: This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in social media strategy and design within a fast-growing startup.
• Flexibility: Remote, ad-hoc hours that fit your schedule.
How to Apply
