Senior Brand / Marketing Copywriter & Web Designer (B2B/ Med Device/professional services)

We are looking for a long-term associate to step into a critical role on our team. We worked with the last freelancer in this position for 10+ years:
About the Role
You will help architect brands (positioning, messaging, voice) and then carry that thinking all the way through to web concepts and live sites and other media. This is an ongoing freelance role (not a one-off project) for someone who is comfortable collaborating, taking feedback, and working fairly independently once direction is set.
Core Responsibilities
· Develop brand foundations: perception, emotional attributes, voice, “why,” and brand positioning statements.
· Write concise, compelling B2B copy: taglines, value propositions, headlines, section copy, and basic sales collateral for healthcare / med devices / professional services and more.
· Create brand messaging frameworks that can be reused across site, decks, and campaigns.
· Concept end-to-end marketing websites in Figma (sitemaps, page flows, wireframes, and high-level layout) that users will respond to and clients can easily understand and approve.
· Design clean, conversion-focused page layouts and content flyers/ads (you don’t need to be award-winning, but your typography, hierarchy, and image use must be solid and on-brief).
· Build sites in Webflow and/or WordPress, including template selection or light design systems, responsive behavior, and basic interactions. Our programmers can take the sites live.
· Collaborate via email, Zoom and periodic working sessions; take strategic direction, ask smart questions, and refine work quickly.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
· Proven experience as a brand copywriter / strategist for B2B, ideally in healthcare, medical devices, complex technology and professional services.
· Demonstrated ability to create positioning statements, taglines, and brand narratives that ladder up from research and discovery that you may also take part in.
· Strong web copywriting skills for homepages, solution pages, “about” pages, and conversion-focused sections.
· Working proficiency in Figma: able to take a content strategy and translate it into clear page structures and UI concepts.
· Working proficiency in Webflow and/or WordPress: comfortable building full sites (not just minor edits), including responsive layouts.
· Solid visual sensibility: you can pair headlines, body copy, and imagery into cohesive, professional layouts suitable for real-world client approval.
· Excellent written and spoken English, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
Nice-to-Haves
· Experience with medical device and healthcare and technology buyers.
· Familiarity with conversion-focused UX, basic CRO principles, and analytics-informed content decisions.
· Comfort with structuring long-form content (thought leadership, guides, or resource hubs) aligned to a brand’s positioning.

· Regular feedback and collaboration so you’re not working in a vacuum.
