We are seeking a highly motivated Participant Recruiter to support our onsite data collection project by sourcing, engaging, and scheduling participants across diverse demographic groups. This role emphasizes field outreach, community engagement, and social media sourcing, rather than traditional talent acquisition. The ideal candidate is proactive, culturally aware, and excited about connecting with people in a wide variety of environments.
Responsibilities
- Source participants daily through a combination of field outreach, online engagement, community networking, social media, and advertising channels targeted to specific demographic groups
- Conduct direct, in‑person outreach by visiting universities, cultural centers, community organizations, neighborhood hotspots, and local events to engage potential participants
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, university groups, cultural associations, and local organizations to increase visibility and generate participant leads
- Utilize social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, local community groups) to promote opportunities, run targeted outreach campaigns, and identify high‑potential audiences
- Identify and test effective outreach and advertising channels for different demographic segments, including digital ads, community boards, local newsletters, and grassroots networks
- Develop creative and innovative sourcing strategies, adapting quickly based on field insights, outreach performance, and changing project needs
- Assist in organizing and supporting onsite engagement activities such as tabling, pop‑up recruiting booths, info sessions, or community outreach events
- Conduct regular demographic and community research to understand population distribution, cultural hubs, and emerging opportunities for participant recruitment.
- Track and document outreach activities, participant leads, community contacts, and weekly sourcing metrics to support accurate reporting.
- Travel throughout the LA Area to conduct field sourcing, attend outreach activities, and support onsite project operations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear updates and engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet weekly sourcing targets, and adapt quickly to changing project needs.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with community partners, participants, and internal teams.
- Experience using social media platforms and digital outreach tools for sourcing and advertising.
- Ability to analyze outreach performance, interpret demographic insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple outreach channels and maintain accurate records.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with diverse community groups.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of local cultures, demographic groups, and communities within the LA Area.
- Experience working in a multinational or multicultural environment, ideally within a field‑based or community‑focused role.
- Ability to travel throughout the LA Area and work onsite as required.
- Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends depending on outreach events.
