Rainier Valley Food Bank, originally founded as Northwest Community Services in 1991, began as a volunteer-led pantry serving 50 families weekly. Now located in Seattle, WA, the organization addresses food insecurity through five core programs: On-Site Distribution, Home Delivery, To-Go Food Bags, Backpack Program, and 360 Support, assisting approximately 23,000 individuals every month. Role Description
This is a part-time and on-site Marketing Assistant role located in Seattle, WA. The Marketing Assistant will support the implementation of marketing initiatives, conduct market research, assist in developing sales and marketing strategies, manage customer engagement efforts, and support the overall promotion of the food bank's mission and programs. They will collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication and outreach to the community.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in market research to analyze trends and inform marketing decisions
- Experience in customer service and ability to interact professionally with clients and partners
- Knowledge of sales and marketing concepts to assist in campaigns and outreach programs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms is a plus
- Experience in non-profit or community-based organizations is beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred
