Job Description
Our client is looking for a Freelance Copywriter to produce clear, practical content that supports the rollout of new workforce planning programs and tools. You’ll turn complex business and technical information into straightforward materials for finance leaders, HR partners, and business leaders.
Working closely with product and cross-functional teams, you’ll create user guides, process overviews, and best-practice resources that help internal stakeholders understand and effectively use workforce planning solutions. This role calls for strong writing and editing skills, a user-first mindset, and comfort working under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clear, concise documentation and guidance for new and existing workforce planning tools and processes.
- Tailor content for finance, HR, and business audiences, adjusting tone and depth for executives and operational users.
- Produce and maintain user guides, process flows, FAQs, and best-practice content for internal use.
- Edit and refine content for internal sites, stakeholder updates, and training assets to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Partner with product, HR, finance, and program teams to understand workflows, requirements, and end-user needs.
- Convert detailed technical and business concepts into simple, actionable instructions.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously improve content quality and usefulness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience creating documentation, user guides, or business communications, ideally for enterprise software or HR-related tools.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical or analytical topics in writing.
- Solid understanding of business processes and experience writing for both executive and frontline audiences.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing impactful documentation, training materials, and internal communications for large organizations.
- Background writing for finance, HR, or business planning stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with product teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., HR, finance, analytics, operations).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong user-focused approach, with an eye for anticipating questions and information gaps.
- Familiarity with workforce planning, financial planning, or HR platforms and related processes.
