Job Description
Senior Presentation Designer (Freelance)
Training & Co. is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Presentation Designer (Freelance) to craft sophisticated, visually compelling presentations that make complex learning and business concepts easy to understand and act on. You will play a key role in how we communicate our programmes, strategies, and results to clients and internal stakeholders.
In this freelance role, you will own the full design lifecycle for presentations—from initial concept and narrative structure through to final production-ready decks. You will work from a variety of inputs (messy drafts, spreadsheets, reports, stakeholder interviews) and transform them into clear, logical, and visually engaging stories. Typical projects include client proposal decks, programme and curriculum overviews, workshop and facilitator materials, data and results summaries, and executive-level presentations.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining presentation standards across Training & Co.’s work. This includes building and refining templates, slide masters, diagram and icon libraries, and data visualization styles that are intuitive, flexible, and on-brand. You will routinely reorganize and refine content for clarity, propose alternative visual approaches, and ensure that every slide has a clear purpose and hierarchy.
Collaboration is central to this position. You will partner closely with Learning Designers, Account Leads, Strategists, and Subject Matter Experts to clarify messaging, define key story points, and iterate based on feedback. You should be comfortable asking probing questions, pushing for simplification when needed, and explaining the rationale behind your design decisions to both creative and non-creative audiences.
This is a remote, project-based freelance role that requires strong self-management. You will juggle multiple deadlines, provide accurate time estimates, and communicate proactively about progress and constraints. You should be comfortable working asynchronously across time zones and using common collaboration tools (e.g., virtual meeting platforms, shared drives, annotation tools, project management systems).
Required
3–5+ years of professional presentation design experience is required, preferably within
agencies, consultancies, training/learning organisations, or in-house creative/marketing teams. Your portfolio should clearly demonstrate:
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and/or Google Slides, with a strong understanding of slide masters, templates, and animation/transitions used judiciously.
- Excellent layout, typography, and information design skills, especially for content-dense and data-heavy presentations.
- Examples of turning raw, complex, or unstructured content into streamlined, audience-friendly narratives.
- Experience creating or evolving scalable presentation systems (templates, component libraries, visual guidelines).
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop) or Figma is a plus, particularly for custom graphics, diagrams, and infographics. Familiarity with learning and development, training content, or B2B communications is beneficial. Knowledge of accessibility best practices for presentations (colour contrast, font choices, structure) is a strong advantage.
As a freelance Senior Presentation Designer at Training & Co., you will contribute to high-impact deliverables that help organisations adopt and champion learning initiatives. You’ll collaborate with a team that values clarity, precision, and thoughtful design, while enjoying the flexibility of remote, freelance work.
