The Role
We’re looking for a hybrid Creative Director + Videographer to define and evolve the visual identity of TikTok creators across social platforms. This person will be both the creative visionary and hands-on maker — shaping a distinct, recognizable style for our content while also shooting, directing, and editing high-quality social-first video.
You’ll work at the intersection of creator culture, storytelling, and platform-native trends, elevating our content from informative to truly inspiring. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to balance polish with authenticity and can translate creative strategy into scroll-stopping execution.
What You’ll Do
Creative Direction & Visual Identity
- Establish and evolve a distinct stylistic point of view for @TikTokCreators content across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Develop visual systems for recurring formats and franchises (interviews, creator spotlights, event coverage, educational series).
- Create mood boards, shot styles, and creative frameworks that make content feel cohesive, premium, and unmistakably “us.”
- Partner with social strategy, creator marketing, and comms teams to align creative with campaign goals and platform priorities.
Hands-On Production & Videography
- Shoot, direct, and light social-first video across studio, field, and event environments.
- Lead on-set creative for creator shoots, interviews, and live activations.
- Capture dynamic b-roll and storytelling moments that elevate everyday content into cinematic, narrative-driven pieces.
- Adapt shooting styles for different content needs, from fast-turn social posts to tentpole moments and brand campaigns.
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit or direct the editing of short-form social content with strong pacing, narrative structure, and emotional hooks.
- Set editing standards around color, typography, motion, and sound design.
- Collaborate with motion designers, editors, and agencies when scaling production, ensuring creative consistency.
Creative Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide clear creative feedback that improves quality while protecting speed and flexibility.
- Collaborate closely with creators to bring out their authentic voice while elevating production value.
- Help define what “high-quality content” looks like in practice, not just in principle.
Who You Are
- A creative leader who also loves being behind the camera and in the edit.
- Deeply fluent in TikTok and social video culture, with strong instincts for what feels native vs. overly branded.
- Comfortable directing creators, executives, and talent with warmth, confidence, and clarity.
- Obsessed with craft, from framing and lighting to sound design and storytelling structure.
- Able to move fast without sacrificing creative excellence.
- Excited to experiment, test formats, and evolve visual language over time.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in social video, creative production, or digital storytelling.
- Strong portfolio showing both creative direction and hands-on videography/editing.
- Expert understanding of short-form video formats, pacing, hooks, and platform trends.
- Proficiency with professional camera systems and mobile capture workflows.
- Advanced editing skills in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar, plus familiarity with After Effects or motion tools.
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or talent-driven content strongly preferred.
- Event and on-location shooting experience is a plus.
