Vogue Shopping is a digital affiliate business that curates editor-approved fashion. Bringing together high-end and affordable Vogue Shopping inspires and informs readers on the best purchases they can make from multi-brand retailers, luxury and independent brands. From informative round-up’s, outfit inspiration and fashion-first curations Vogue Shopping is an authoritative style destination with a broad reach and audience across social, newsletter, site & the Vogue app.
Vogue Shopping, Lifestyle Editor
Vogue Shopping is looking for a creative and analytical Lifestyle Editor to manage the Lifestyle category. The individual will help ideate the visual and written tone of voice of this category, in line with the broader Vogue Shopping identity capturing Lifestyle through a fashion and shopping-first lens. They will pitch, write, edit, commission and optimize editorial content with affiliate links all under this vertical. The Lifestyle category includes travel, home interiors and weddings.
This role requires a passion for Lifestyle, an understanding of the e-commerce landscape or affiliate business model and a multi-faceted mindset that is equal parts creative as it is analytical. The candidate should have the ability to angle stories in a creative but service driven way whilst ensuring diligent SEO best practises. The role reports into a Senior Shopping Editor.
Responsibilities
Help establish Vogue Shopping as a destination for Lifestyle by ideating unique franchise ideas and establishing the visual and written tone of voice for the category in line with the overall Vogue Shopping identity.
Ideate, write and edit 8-12 pieces of content each week, ensuring storytelling with a unique point of view, clean copy, SEO and affiliate best practices are implemented and brand guidelines are met
Ensure all products selected align with the visual identity of Vogue Shopping, are mixed in price point, based on top performing brands, categories and optimised with any active partnerships.
Manage an editorial calendar for the Lifestyle category that aligns with SEO search terms and cultural moments
Work with a consistent pool of freelance writers to create timely and relevant stories
Coordinate with SEO managers and commerce resources to make sure all content is optimized
Collaborate with the editorial teams to optimise their content with shopping links and establish a strong working relationship
Analyse performance of articles to help inform forward content planning
The ability to pivot to other categories where needed during tentpole moments
Additional duties as required, or as assigned by manager
Skills and Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant experience with a related brand(s) or media publisher
Proven ability to deliver engaging, inspiring and unique content with a shopping angle.
Broad understanding of the Lifestyle landscape including relevant retailers, emerging trends and interesting thought-leaders
An enthusiasm for fashion and passion for Lifestyle
Demonstrated mastery of SEO optimization and digital publishing best practices
Familiarity with affiliate link programs such as Skimlinks and Rakuten
Ability to analyze performance across different product categories, retailers, and content types to optimize for revenue generation
Proven ability to work independently, quickly, and remain organized and efficient
Collaborative in a working environment

This is a Guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$93,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
