🔍🔊 The Role
In Mazalán Comunicaciones we are looking for a Senior Freelance Content Strategist & Client Account Lead who blends sharp B2B client management with dynamic digital storytelling.
This is not purely an execution or copy-writing role: you will serve as the primary strategic point of contact for clients while leading end-to-end content creation—ranging from executive LinkedIn strategy and long-form editorial (blogs) to short-form and corporate video scriptwriting.
đź“ŤWork Location: Hybrid remote
🕵️ Key Responsibilities:
- - Client Account Management & Fronting: act as the primary direct contact for clients. Lead kickoff calls, present creative strategies and pitches, manage weekly status meetings, and build strong, trusted relationships through clear communication and strategic guidance
- - LinkedIn & Executive Thought Leadership: conceptualize and draft platform-native copy for corporate accounts and C-level executive profiles to drive organic reach and engagement
- - Multi-Channel Editorial & Copywriting: go beyond social media by writing high-value external communication pieces, including corporate blogs and thought leadership articles
- - Video Strategy & Scriptwriting: ideate, conceptualize, and script engaging video content (talking heads, executive messages, product explainer videos, carousel videos, and social video hooks). Translate complex tech/corporate ideas into visual, audio-ready scripts
- - Performance Analytics & Strategic Reporting: track, analyze, and present key performance metrics. Translate data into clear, actionable client reports and use analytics to continuously optimize content strategy
đź’Ľ Qualifications & Experience
- Location: California or local surrounding regions (essential for time zone sync, client alignments, and occasional in-person event coverage)
- Experience: 3+ years of agency or client-facing experience managing B2B/corporate accounts while actively leading content, video production workflows, and strategy optimization
- Communication & Clint Skills: proven track record of independently running client calls, handling feedback constructively, and presenting performance reports directly to stakeholders
- Data & Analytics Fluency: high comfort level with native platform analytics and reporting tools; ability to derive actionable insights from engagement, impressions, CTR, and conversion data
- Multi-Format Content Portfolio: demonstrated experience across blogs, long-form editorial content, executive LinkedIn posts, and multimedia campaigns
- Language: native or bilingual English proficiency with strong nuances for the US tech and corporate market (Spanish skills are a major plus for seamless collaboration with our LatAm strategy hub!)
