Responsibilities
- Design contemporary women's sportswear aligned with our client's brand vision, target customer, market positioning, and price points.
- Research directional trends and competition; develop sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator and support seasonal product development.
- Create and maintain seasonal tech packs and line sheets, including sketches, style numbers, colors/washes, and key measurements.
- Apply garment construction and fitting expertise, including sweater and fully fashioned design, to develop and refine samples.
- Communicate with factories regarding sample status, manage deadlines, and coordinate trim and packaging development as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of sportswear or contemporary womenswear design experience, preferably in the branded modern contemporary market.
- Strong sketching, presentation, design, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive garment construction knowledge with demonstrated fitting and production experience.
- Proficiency in **Adobe Illustrator**, **Photoshop**, **Excel**, and **Outlook**; knowledge of **Simparel** is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in art or fashion; technical denim experience and familiarity with AI tools are advantageous.
