About Askdodo
Askdodo is an AIGC and AI agent platform. We believe the best creative AI should be open. We back open-source and open-weight models, and we build so creators can run, remix, and fine-tune them — not rent a black box. Privacy comes with that: your work and your workflows stay yours.
The role
We want someone who makes AI video for real, every week, and who knows exactly where the tools break. This role is three jobs in one:
- Creator. You make AI video and images in-house.
- Product voice. You turn what you learn into scope, ideas, and UI/UX for product and engineering.
- Askdodo's social growth engine. You make the content that gets Askdodo seen, with one goal: as many views as possible.
We think a creator with first-hand reps defines product scope and spots product ideas better than a PM who has never shipped a shot. You are the user, the tester, and the megaphone.
What you'll do
Make content
- Produce AI videos, shorts, and series with open and closed models: ads, narrative, characters, and experiments.
- Build repeatable workflows and templates (ComfyUI graphs, prompt recipes, LoRAs, shot pipelines) that Askdodo users get out of the box.
Grow Askdodo on social
- Concept and ship viral-first video and image posts: shorts, memes, trend remixes, recurring characters and series.
- Post across X, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Rednote, adapting each piece to the platform.
- Post often and jump on trends fast. Speed beats polish when the moment is hot.
- Show off Askdodo features inside content people actually want to share, not feature tours.
- Read the analytics (views, shares, retention), find what worked, and iterate.
- Feed what goes viral back into the product: which formats, effects, and templates people respond to.
Shape the product
- Write short product specs from your own production pain: what's slow, what's missing, what should be one click.
- Sit with engineers, prototype with them, and review builds as a daily user.
- Define video-feature scope and UI/UX: timelines, shot consistency, character persistence, model switching, iteration speed.
- Benchmark new models the week they drop and tell us which ones matter and why.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of AI video you made. This is the must-have. Show finished pieces, not demos.
- A track record of high-view posts. Share your best numbers.
- An instinct for hooks, thumbnails, and the first 2 seconds. You know why people stop scrolling.
- Hands-on fluency across the stack, such as ComfyUI, Kling, Runway, Hailuo, Veo, Wan, and Flux. You know which tool to pick for which shot.
- LoRA training experience (characters, styles) and a feel for keeping a look consistent across shots.
- Taste: camera language, pacing, and art direction. Anyone can generate; we want people who can direct.
- A bias for iteration. You throw out a hundred takes to keep the one that works.
- Clear communication with engineers. You can show a problem, not just describe it.
- Recent AIGC work is what counts. We care about what you've made lately, not your credentials. No degree required.
Strongly preferred
- An existing audience on social (X, TikTok/Douyin, Instagram, YouTube, Rednote).
Nice to haves
- Festival selections or awards for AI film.
- Light scripting or coding (Python, JS, node-based tools) to automate or prototype.
- Experience with open-weight models and local or self-hosted pipelines.
- Fluency in both English.
Engagement
- Full-time or contract. Tell us which you prefer.
- Start: as soon as possible.
How to apply
Send us:
- Links to your portfolio
- One piece you're proud of, with a short note (a few lines is enough) on how you made it: tools, models, workflow, and what went wrong along the way.
- Your 2–3 highest-performing posts, with view counts.
