The Opportunity
Flowers Communications Group (FCG) is growing, and we’re expanding our integrated marketing capabilities across Metro Atlanta and surrounding markets to support new and evolving client opportunities.
We’re seeking an Atlanta-based Social Media & Influencer Strategy Manager who specializes in audience growth, engagement, and social strategy. This role will lead the development and execution of social media and influencer strategies designed to grow communities, deepen engagement, increase brand relevance, and contribute to measurable business results.
The ideal candidate understands that social is more than a content calendar. You know how to use audience behavior, platform insights, social listening, creators, community engagement, cultural trends, and performance data to determine how brands should show up—and how to continually optimize that approach to drive growth.
You’ll serve as both a strategist and hands-on execution lead, partnering closely with clients, creative, PR, paid media, experiential, and account teams to ensure social and influencer efforts are connected to the broader integrated marketing strategy.
Experience developing relevant strategies for priority consumer segments.
What You'll Do
Social Strategy, Growth & Engagement
- Lead social media strategy with a focus on audience growth, engagement, brand relevance, and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop insight-driven social strategies that define objectives, target audiences, platform priorities, content pillars, brand voice, engagement approaches, and KPIs.
- Translate business priorities, audience behavior, cultural insights, and platform trends into actionable social plans.
- Conduct social audits, audience research, competitive analysis, and platform assessments to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Develop platform-specific strategies across Instagram and Facebook.
- Partner with creative and account teams to develop content pillars, editorial direction, campaign concepts, creative briefs, and targeted programming.
- Identify opportunities for video-first content, audience participation, user-generated content, real-time engagement, and culturally relevant storytelling.
- Lead and support on-site social content capture at activations and events as well as identifying real-time storytelling opportunities and coordinating with creative, influencer, PR, and experiential teams to develop platform-ready content that drives engagement and extends the impact of the activation.
- Connect organic and paid social strategies to extend high-performing content, reach priority audiences, and accelerate growth.
- Establish benchmarks and measurement frameworks to continually assess performance and optimize the social strategy.
Social Listening & Community Engagement
- Use social listening, audience insights, and cultural intelligence to understand what communities are talking about and identify opportunities for brands to participate authentically.
- Monitor emerging conversations, cultural moments, audience sentiment, competitive activity, and platform trends.
- Translate real-time insights into proactive recommendations for content, engagement, partnerships, and brand participation.
- Lead community management strategy and coordinate execution with designated teams to ensure timely, thoughtful, and on-brand engagement.

Influencer & Creator Strategy
- Develop influencer and creator strategies that support brand, audience, growth, and engagement objectives.
- Identify and source creators who authentically align with campaign strategy, target audiences, cultural context, and brand values.
- Lead creator vetting, including audience fit, engagement quality, content performance, brand safety, and previous partnerships.
- Develop creator briefs and guide content to ensure it feels authentic to the creator while delivering against campaign objectives.
- Lead rate negotiations, scopes of work, usage rights, deliverables, and contract terms.
- Partner with legal and finance teams to support contracting and compliance.
- Manage relationships with creators, talent managers, and agents from outreach through campaign completion.
- Identify opportunities to extend creator content across owned, earned, paid, and experiential channels.
- Stay ahead of the creator landscape and continually identify emerging voices and talent relevant to priority audiences.
Client Leadership & Integrated Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted social and influencer subject matter expert for clients and internal teams.
- Present strategies, creative recommendations, creator approaches, performance insights, and optimization recommendations with confidence.
- Partner across PR, creative, paid media, experiential, strategy, and account teams to ensure social and influencer efforts are integrated into broader campaigns.
- Bring proactive ideas to the table based on cultural trends, audience behavior, platform changes, and performance.

Measurement & Optimization
- Track audience growth, engagement, reach, content performance, creator performance, sentiment, and other agreed-upon KPIs.
- Connect social and influencer performance to broader brand, reputation, engagement, traffic, conversion, and business objectives, where applicable.
- Develop clear, insight-driven reporting that explains what worked, what didn't, why, and what should happen next.
- Continually optimize content, platforms, creators, audience strategies, and amplification based on performance data and insights.
- Identify opportunities to test, learn, and scale high-performing approaches.
What You Bring
- 4-6+ years of experience in social media strategy, influencer marketing, digital marketing, or integrated communications.
- Demonstrated experience developing social strategies that have driven measurable audience growth and engagement.
- Strong understanding of major social platforms and emerging channels.
- Hands-on experience with social listening, community engagement, content strategy, and performance optimization.
- Proven experience identifying, vetting, negotiating with, and managing creators and influencers.

- Experience developing culturally relevant strategies.
- Strong understanding of Atlanta's cultural landscape, communities, creators, and consumer trends.
- Strong client presence with the ability to translate data and cultural insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Experience with consumer-facing brands such as restaurant/QSR, retail, lifestyle, entertainment, CPG, or similar categories is a plus.
- Experience with influencer platforms, social listening tools, analytics/reporting dashboards, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Who Thrives Here
- Growth-minded strategists who are energized by building audiences and communities - not simply publishing content.
- Culturally curious thinkers who understand that audiences are not monolithic.
- Social natives who understand how platform behavior, culture, creators, and communities intersect.
- Data-informed creatives who use performance to make the work better.
- Relationship builders who connect authentically with creators, clients, and communities.
- Hands-on operators who can move from strategy to execution without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Collaborators who thrive at the intersection of social, PR, influencer, paid media, creative, experiential, and culture.
Work Environment
This is an Atlanta-based, hybrid contract role with an expected duration through December 2027. Candidates should be based in Metro Atlanta or the surrounding area and comfortable working across a mix of in-office collaboration, remote work, client meetings, and in-market activations.
Regular in-market and on-site support may be required for activations, events, creator opportunities, and real-time content capture, including occasional evenings and weekends.
This role reports to the VP, Integrated Marketing Services and collaborates closely with account leadership and cross-functional teams.
