The Engagement
Social House, Inc. seeks to engage an experienced independent Producer to provide project-based production services for assigned client productions. The contractor will apply their independent professional judgment and production expertise to translate approved creative concepts into executable production plans and deliver agreed production outcomes within established project scope, budget, timing, and client requirements.
The contractor will coordinate with designated Social House project stakeholders, which may include Creative Directors, Content Directors, Account Strategy, Project Management, Finance, and external production partners, as reasonably necessary to complete assigned project deliverables. The contractor will determine the manner and means by which services are performed, subject to agreed project requirements, deliverables, deadlines, budgets, client requirements, and applicable production and safety standards.
Scope of Services
Depending upon the specific project engagement, the contractor may be retained to provide some or all of the following services. Specific deliverables, production requirements, budgets, timelines, and compensation will be established through an applicable Statement of Work, project authorization, or other written agreement between the parties.
- Partner with Creative early to pressure-test concepts for scope, cost, timing, talent, and feasibility before ideas move into production.
- Translate approved creative concepts into clear, executable production plans.
- Lead pre-production for assigned projects from greenlight through shoot day.
- Partner with Creative Directors and Content Directors to turn creative direction into detailed shoot plans, shot requirements, and production needs.
- Build and manage production schedules, shoot schedules, call sheets, and production timelines.
- Source and manage photographers, directors, DPs, videographers, editors, stylists, crews, studios, locations, and other production partners.
- Own talent sourcing and casting logistics across models, creators, influencers, UGC partners, experts, and real people.
- Coordinate talent outreach, availability, rates, usage, releases, scheduling, fittings, and approvals.
- Build organized casting options for Creative and client review.
- Own shoot-day logistics so Creative Directors can remain focused on creative direction and craft.
- Keep production on schedule while protecting priority shots and creative must-haves.
- Track required coverage and deliverables during production to ensure nothing is missed before wrap.
- Own the transition from shoot into post-production.
- Organize footage, selects, scripts, references, supers, and technical requirements for editors and post partners.
- Build and manage post-production timelines including reviews, revisions, cutdowns, versioning, and delivery.
- Partner with Creative Directors to translate creative feedback into clear, actionable post-production notes.
- Manage editors, retouchers, motion designers, color, sound, and other post-production partners as needed.
- Develop production estimates and recommend the right production approach for each project.
- Solicit and evaluate bids, manage budgets, and flag risks before they become overruns.
- Manage production vendors, expenses, invoices, and related documentation in partnership with Finance.
- Build and maintain a strong network of trusted production partners, creators, talent, studios, and vendors.
- As requested within the scope of an engagement, provide recommendations regarding production processes, documentation, tools, and efficiencies.
Experience & Professional Qualifications
- 7+ years of integrated, content, or commercial production experience within an agency, production company, brand, or in-house creative team.
- Significant experience producing photo and video content from concept through final delivery.
- Strong understanding of social-first content production and platform-specific deliverables.
- Experience producing across different scales, from nimble content shoots to larger campaign productions.
- Strong knowledge of casting, talent, crews, locations, budgets, vendors, and post-production workflows.
- Excellent production budgeting, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.
- Strong written communication and an exceptional level of detail.
- The ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously without losing visibility into priorities or risk.
- A strong creative instinct and an understanding of what makes an idea feel culturally relevant and visually compelling.
- A Los Angeles production network is preferred.
Independent Contractor Qualifications
The contractor must operate an independently established business providing production or related professional services and be available to provide similar services to other clients. The contractor is responsible for maintaining any business registrations, licenses, insurance, equipment, and other resources reasonably necessary to perform the contracted services, as applicable to the engagement.
The contractor may provide services to other clients and is not required to provide services exclusively to Social House. Services will be performed on a project basis pursuant to agreed project scopes, Deal Memos, or project authorizations. The contractor retains control over the manner and means of performing the services, subject to agreed deliverables, deadlines, budgets, client requirements, and production specifications.

Project Success
Success will be evaluated based upon completion of agreed project deliverables, adherence to approved production budgets and deadlines, effective coordination of production resources, proactive identification of production risks, and delivery of work meeting the applicable creative, technical, and client requirements established for each engagement.
