Role Description The Associate Keynote Designer is a contract role responsible for designing and enhancing executive-level presentations and visual narratives. Working in a hybrid model based in Sunnyvale, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand messaging goals and translating complex information into clear, compelling slide decks. Day-to-day tasks include creating layouts, selecting visuals, refining typography, and aligning presentations with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives. The Associate Keynote Designer will revise and update existing decks, maintain design templates, and ensure consistency across multiple presentations and campaigns. This role also involves managing project timelines, coordinating feedback, and delivering polished presentation assets for internal and external events.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to design professional presentations in Keynote (and preferably PowerPoint or Google Slides), including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Strong visual design skills, with experience in branding, color theory, and selecting or creating graphics and icons for clear communication.
- Ability to understand complex ideas and convert them into simple, concise, and visually engaging slides and narratives.
- Comfort working closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., marketing, product, leadership) to gather requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple presentation projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with design and productivity tools (e.g., Keynote, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present design options and rationale to non-design audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a tech or consulting environment and familiarity with executive-level storytelling and data visualization are pluses.
